  1. N.Jones - another outstanding game Vince - not as prolific Hogan - rarely provided target Watts - a valuable swingman Petracca - little to enthuse Dawes - regularly performed bloopers Viney - great tagging performance Gawn - probably broke even Tyson - take first options!!!! Stretch - couldn't hurt opponents Kent - frustrating as hell Frost - had little input T. McDonald - strong and brave O.McDonald - embarrassing to watch Hunt - exciting and willing Bugg - was almost irrelevant Kennedy - tried but failed Garlett - a welcome return vandenBerg - continued poor form Jetta - brave and creative Harmes - prolific but wasteful M.Jones - great first half
  2. Yes, I agree about Watts and I gave him votes.. I guess that makes me a GOOD judge and I accept your apology. Hogan's stats were superior to Franklin's, who was regarded as close to best on field.. go figure.
  3. Thanks for enlightening me.. I actually like him too, in fact he's my favourite current player. I'm not quite sure why so many are taking my 'basketball' reference about Watts so personally. In my opinion his efforts on Sunday were fair if it were a dry day, however on a rain drenched ground and with a waterlogged ball his game was totally inappropriate.
  4. 6 - Vince ( classy and prolific all game) 5 - Jones ( what a heart ) 4 - Hunt ( obviously listened to instructions about taking the game on) 3 - Viney ( far from his best game , but better than the rest ) 2 - Gawn 1 - Watts
  5. Jones - prolific not influential Vince - never stopped trying Hogan - was obviously restricted Watts - it's not basketball Petracca - a few cameos Dawes - had no impact Viney - tried but overwhelmed Trengove - had no spark Gawn - conditions nullified influence Tyson - was easily outmuscled Oliver - was rarely sighted Stretch - missing at sea Kent - probably went overboard Frost - rough but willing T.McDonald - a steady game O.McDonald - lacked footy smarts Hunt - brave and attacking Bugg - was rarely noticed Kennedy - had no impact vandenBerg- surprisingly quiet game Jetta - barely bothered scorers Wagner - tried but failed
  6. Jones - continued outstanding form Vince - prolific and creative Hogan - well rounded game Watts - there when needed Petracca - some creative masterpieces Dawes - target we needed Viney - improved with confidence Trengove - quiet but professional Hunt - never lacked confidence Gawn - just a goliath Tyson - great first half Oliver - clever in close Stretch - didn't stand out Kent - perfect small forward Frost - confident and effective T. McDonald - was almost impassable O. McDonald - no obvious clangers Bugg - great stopping role Kennedy - rubbed it in vandenBerg - was rarely sighted Jetta - effective whenever required Wagner - close checking defender
  7. 6 - Tyson ( great first half and steady afterwards) 5 - Vince ( loved the responsibility and centre stage ) 4 - Jones ( just a dynamo who literally bleeds for the club) 3 - Frost ( proving the point that he should only play down back) 2 - Bugg ( great tagging game ) 1 - Gawn ( prolific tap outs )
  8. Jones - continuing outstanding form Vince - needed the responsibility Hogan -- was comprehensively outplayed Watts - great first half Petracca - couldn't get involved Dawes - contested without influencing Trengove - an unmemorable return Gawn - tap outs only Tyson - enjoyed more responsibility Oliver - should kick more Stretch - couldn't hurt opposition Kent - devoid of confidence Frost - strong in defence T. McDonald - terrific second half O.McDonald - gradually gaining confidence Hunt - energetic but rough Bugg -. Important tagging job Garlett - continued to disappoint vandenBerg - obviously lacked energy Jetta - steady but unobtrusive Wagner - stuck to task Harmes - needs a rest
  9. Dunn turned up to play this year looking overweight and obviously with the wrong mindset.. it's come back to bite him on his not-indistinguishable arse
  10. 6 - Jones ( skill, heart, guts ) 5 - Gawn ( dominated the centre , but had few accomplices ) 4 - Stretch ( one of the few who took the game on ) 3 - Jetta ( read the game well ) 2 - T.McDonald (continued to try but was overwhelmed) 1 - Viney ( has dropped off but never stopped trying)
  11. Jones - our only professional Vince - had little influence Hogan - had no support Watts - an irrelevant game Petracca - lost in flight Viney - tried but overwhelmed Hunt - exciting in bursts Gawn - couldn't find teammates Tyson - half hearted display Stretch - some positive glimpses Kent - better second half Newton - couldn't justify selection Garland - embarrassing before injury T.McDonald - loose and overburdened Neal - Bullen - plenty of nothing O.McDonald - totally lacked composure Bugg - noticed for looseness Kennedy - was probably injured Garlett - premature contract extension Jetta - courageous but loose Wagner - out of depth Harmes - was rarely noticed
  12. Trac will be the player Sylvia should have become if he'd pulled his finger out.
  13. Jones - clean ball user Vince - usually more creative Hogan - consistently hard worker Watts - creative and versatile Petracca - brilliant in close Viney - couldn't break free Gawn - just a shadow Oliver - creative ball user Stretch - excellent 4 quarters Kent - had little involvement Newton - took his chances Garland - better without pressure Michie - little to enthuse T. McDonald - kept opponent bereft O. McDonald - far from convincing Hunt - one exciting run Neal- Bullen - important one percenters Bugg - 3 great quarters Kennedy - needed more involvement Garlett - regularly looked dangerous Wagner - promising but flakey Harmes - took his chances
  14. Replace 'Dawes' with 'McDonald'...just as likely
  15. What an impressive and eloquent man he is!
  16. Jones - frustrated and limited Vince - could rarely impose Hogan - underwhelming and disappointing Salem - little to appreciate Watts - impressive second half Petracca - lacked spatial awareness Viney - couldn't move mountains Gawn - surprisingly little impact Tyson - prolific but wasteful Oliver - looked at sea Stretch - pace and effort Garland - game has passed Pedersen - virtually no impact Michie - little to enthuse McDonald - game gradually improved Hunt - believed own hype Bugg - was rarely noticed Kennedy - tried but unconvincing Garlett - was embarrassingly absent Jetta - brave and solid Wagner - out of depth Harmes - shuddering to realty
  17. I was a good enough junior footballer to be invited to do a pre season with StKilda under 19's, as a 16 year old ,however I lasted only 15 minutes into the first training session and requested a taxi back home.
  18. 6 - Gawn ( played as if he owned the field ) 5 - Jones ( 4 quarters of pure leader ) 4 - Bugg - ( I personally haven't been a huge fan previously but he convinced me against GC ) 3 - Jetta ( great application and endeavour ) 2 - Harmes ( seems to possess the complete skill pack ) 1 - Hunt ( his tentative and mistake-prone approach in previous games was replaced with pure excitement )
  19. Jones - outstanding all game Vince - provided the class Hogan - wasn't really needed Viney - outstanding until concussed Gawn - dominated the ground Tyson - prolific but wasteful Oliver - genius in close Stretch - used speed well Kent - some classy cameos Garland - far from convincing Pedersen - successfully played role Michie - neat but tentative McDonald - better second half Hunt - attacking defensive weapon Bugg - brilliant first half Kennedy - better second half Garlett - always a presence Jetta - brave and focused Wagner - prolific but uncertain Harmes - Rising Star nominee Watts - not his best Petracca - exciting and clean
  20. 6 - Hogan 5 - Jones 4 - Viney 3 - Gawn 2 - Watts 1 - Tyson
  21. Jones - always the warrior Hogan - our only winner Gawn - failed to dominate Viney - never left wondering Vince - was rarely sighted Kennedy - looked painfully slow Bugg - selection defies logic Petracca - some sublime touches Tyson - consistently wrong options Watts - continued impressive form McDonald - disappears when beaten Wagner - played amateur football Lumumba - was embarrassingly bad Dunn - inhibited by fatness Harmes - a poor game Garlett - couldn't find ball Salem - poor before injury Kent - probably wasn't playing Frost - not of standard Pedersen - see Dunn above Hunt - out of depth Jetta - slow and loose
