Some reports are suggesting that. Navicular issues

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I’m the interest of transparency, I changed my Demonland name from --coach-- to —coach— just in case anyone wondered where the original coach went.

Toumpas was far better than Wines any day of the week. Just misunderstood

Without doubt, what else do you with a resting ruckman other than stick them on the bench. Preuss would only be coming to the club on the proviso that he will be playing games at AFL. So thinking about how we use him and Gawn on game day raises some interesting thoughts

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
Spoke to his Dad on Friday, two things came out of it. Seems the players (Well Sam at least) don’t know what’s happening with Hogan, and Sam and family seem to love the club and are super pleased with his block of games in the backend of the season.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Or Gawn forward when resting and Hogan to defense. Played there as a junior I believe

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
If the price is right I would absolutely take him. He’s no Gawn, but miles better than king and flipper. Ditch king and flipper, play Hogan in defence, alternate preuss and Gawn in the ruck resting forward. use additional spot on list for further midfield depth/outside run

Now who do we use to smash Sloan? Edit: wrote this before seeing news of the Sloan’s losing their baby. My condolences to them in what would be a very difficult time.

Andrew Gaff
Restricted free agent, we would only need to look at trade options if WC decide to match our offer to him. So first base is to make an offer and see what they do

Just to bring things back to the original topic for a moment. Heard something which may be of interest here. I can’t reveal the source but you will just have to trust me that it’s solid (if not I don’t really care), it seems that the coach and a number of leadership players from WC have been hounding/niggling Gaff about not making a decision at training and during games for about the last 4 weeks, and Gaff is said to be very uncomfortable about this. So much so that his parents have been traveling to the games to provide support for him as he is said the be really struggling with it. No mention of whether this is making him want to leave or not, so make of it what you will. If I was in the same boat I would be more inclined to leave under those circumstances.

?????? Classic! That is by far and away the best post I’ve ever seen on here ?

??? why would Jones agree to go to a club with no prospect of success in his career when he’s been at Melb through the worst of the worst and we’re just starting to get some success??? You know he has a contract beyond this year?

Hey Tarax My Mum and Dad are up your way for the game and a weekend of R+R. Dads actually a member here on Demonland but he is old and having password issues (he will be reading this by the way, hi Dad?). He called and asked me to ask you if there is anything happening before the game either formal or informal in the local area that fellow Demon supporters can attend? Cheers in advance ?

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Pretty hard to measure or quantify I would say, but I’m very confident that if we had the training facilities of some of the wealthier clubs we would be better than what we are. How much better again would be impossible to measure. Would we be better by enough of a percentage to win the game on Friday night? Maybe, maybe not. Again impossible to measure. What I’m very confident of is that if we were to train on a ground the same width as the MCG, we would be a damn sight better on the MCG. Enough to have won the Geelong game I would say. So in short, yes I do think better facilities will help us win games.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
If great training facilities don’t help you win games, why are just about every other club investing millions into theirs rather than spending it on something else? Must just be for the bling factor I guess?

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
For what it’s worth I always thought Fawlkner Park would be an option, mentioned it in another thread about facilities, will settle with Yarra Park though ??

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Interesting when you look at google maps to see why we play better on narrow grounds and collingwood and Richmond play better on grounds the size of MCG. collingwoods training ground is exact size of mcg playing surface and Richmond’s is similar, Goschs is super narrow! bring on our new facility ASAP!
