  1. Your being kind in calling it a structure
  2. Any chance we could play some guys inside the defensive 50?
  3. Here’s a thought for everyone. Get rid of all of our forwards and replace with contested ball getting midfielders. Then every time we we kick it inside 50 just grub it along the ground and trust the new forwards to get he ball and kick the goals?
  4. Poor kick inside 50 results I a turnover rushed down and kicked straight down the throat of their forward. Kicks truly for a goal. *sigh*
  5. Loved that the fireworks were in synch with hell’s bells drums, a sign of things to come perhaps......
  6. This is where Pruess could be well utilized. If he is planted in the goal square with the instruction to either stay there (thus taking one of the key defenders off the other team, which softens the opposition on Weid and Tmac) or lead out and smash into anyone (with eyes on the ball of course) who dares stand in front of you guarding space looking for the easy mark, then we have a beast of a guy there who the opposition can not ignore. Meanwhile TMac and Weid who are both more mobile are free to roam and the smaller guys can get around all this timber looking dangerous for the spillages which will inevitably occur. Simplistic I know, but it has to be better than kicking it to Trac over and over again
  7. Hahah classic! ? Funny how quickly people forget stuff like that. I remember a collingwood mate of mine saying after round two that he thought Bucks was gone! So I guess your saying don’t panic, we got this ?
  8. Yep and that best FF kicked 0.0 today so wouldn’t have helped at all.
  9. Here: https://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/2019/2/geel-v-melb
  10. Agree that I hope it’s not a 4-6 week injury to May, he will need a run of 2-3 weeks in the team for it to gel for us. Who cares if Hogan kicks a 100 goals or none, he doesn’t play for us so it’s irrelevant.
  11. Some on here really need to look at what they wrote in similar circumstances last year. “Where are we going to find x goals from”, “we should drop x y and z to teach them a lesson”, “ we should sack the coach” etc etc. Then go back and see what Goodwin said in the press conferences after those games, I think you will find that just about everything he said they were going to do, they did. Sure there were hiccups along the way, but that’s life and that’s sport. Now watch the press conference from last night, listen carefully and you will see the same. He basically lays down the plan for you. I’m as passionate as everyone on here, but I can see that despite that being an 80 point loss on the scoreboard, it’s not reflective of where we are overall. We were worse last week and lost by much less. Geelong were at their absolute peak efficiency last night. We were at our worst, and in areas of the ground that really matter to the scoreboard. That can turn around very quickly. Pruess will come in next week I reckon to act as a foil for Weid and Tmac, Trac will be able to crumb rather than act at as a key position forward, May will be out injured and I imagine there would be one other change. Probs a smaller type (Spargo?) or a replacement defender, Kolo will be better for the run, Lockhart has some X factor and I reckon by round 6 we will be wondering what all the fuss was about. Enjoy your Sunday all and I look forward to seeing you at the game next week ?

So after 2 rounds you want to be 14-8? Not sure that’s possible unless the basic laws of time have changed recently?
