  1. Bound for the Swans, as his third club, next year then?
  2. They've all gone Dees AND none are tipping Roos? Wish I could be quite so sure... Over at The Age, the only 'Experts' tipping Roos are Birch and Kearney. Holding down bottom 2 places, too - 12 particular misses in 13 games played wouldn't have helped. Vested tipsters are always good for a laugh (hopefully not on the other side of our faces this week...)
  3. I presume you mean that the loss of one of the named 23 would be the disaster, not Fullarton getting a game in the ones? He's not that bad, is he? 😉
  4. Ummm... Doesn't this show our opposition to be even less experienced (and, accordingly, likely even younger)? So, another little needle for should/must/please! win?
  5. Them's impressive editing skills right there! Unless @Demonsterative was onto something...
  6. Nah, we love this sort of stiff.
  7. Dunno. But this usually happens... Now we're really getting back on track!

Please don't 'bite', folks. Let it stand as a view - possibly with a personal story attached, as you (and I) have in the thread's subject matter - and move on with the thread's specific purpose on its (strong) merits.
  9. Something about Hurricane Tracy?
  10. ...forcing them to call their jelly 'jello'!
  11. This thread is like 'barley', or parliament with its privilege, isn't it, layze; you can safely say stuff that would elsewhere be roundly slinged and arrowed! 😄
  12. @old dee, @Redleg; you are vertebrae* in this thread! How could you inject the slipped discs of actual football talk into it - and with nerve pinching negativity at that! Back to inanity, gentlemen, please! * (at least part of) the backbone
  13. And this - another player reflecting positively on Greg Stafford: 'Staff's been huge'. I guess it could mean they like what he gives, rather than it necessarily being effective in games, but... https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1581845/demon-debut-hear-from-kynan-brown?videoId=1581845&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1718866510001

The world is sometimes getting better.
  15. Shall I?... I reckon Max'll go 3. Door. Me. Out.
  16. That's what a swingman can do, I guess?! (funny old language, English, innit?) Re the OP article, 'closing in on', as opposed to 'inks' smacks of Club (via AFL) media trawling for good news about us. As to DT himself, goodo!
  17. Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Dee Dee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
D****d Autocorrect! (Though I did look it up: the record for his work is $270,000, apparently)
  18. With this weeks 'ins', joining Chin and Kossie, and when that Casey beanpole clicks, all we'll then need is the other young White to join us and 'K' will become the new 'J' at the Dees! (...though oh for the sensible days of Ken, Kevin, Keith, even Kit)
  19. Some elasticity, I guess, yes, though the 2020 environment was beyond what any masterplan could have allowed for... https://www.afl.com.au/news/617093/without-a-nibble-dee-alex-neal-bullen-goes-from-trade-bait-to-first-rate
  20. Fascinating the threads that get preferred ongoing attention to ones like these. Thanks, @DeeZone, and go Pup!
  21. A draft* or two'll get us out of it... *Yes, I know!
  22. '...nor will the Demons repeat five posters and a shooting accuracy of under 30% in two games running...' June 2023 says hullo: 8.13, 8.18, 8.15, 5.15. September 2023 also gives a shout-out. 😉
  23. ( 1. Pls excuse my edit, DD 🙏 2. Midweek frivolity alert 😏 ) You reflect a concern widely expressed across our forum, along with the one about the four northern-state teams being favourite/favoured sons (and daughters) of the AFL. Is it possible this is all the AFL tackling the fixturing mess by stealthily engineering AFL seasons into a best-of-25 Collingwood v The North series? (possibly with a feeder comp of Carlton v The Centre/West?) The phantom of a 'Tasmanian team' being, meanwhile, the AFL's 'look-at-my-other-hand' conjurer's sleight? (For reference, D'landers - and D'luders? - might find the following, as representative of Dr Google's many such articles, of interest. I find myself to be (selectively) susceptible... https://ps.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/appi.ps.202000348 )
  24. Club taking the no-news-is-good-news approach this week: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1577370/inside-the-four-walls-our-property-manager?videoId=1577370&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1718521200001 (Good on him, and all the behind-the-scenes-ers, though!)
