Near perfect result: Geelong lose, and Port make near-zero percentage inroads on us.
-
Bizarre scoreline in the west.
-
Ouch. Or, on second thoughts,... Not?
-
Ch.7 now promoting a venue within the Kardinia Park State/Cats/Station/AFL Promotional edifice? Crass. And worse.

Also hoping Sydney's body clocks are suffering.
-
Port doing a Carlton. Hope Geelong don't now do a Melbourne. At least any more successfully than Melbourne did...

Great read. Thanks, Comrades.

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Oh, the very sternest... ...and the very person for the job here, I'd say, what? 🧐 Not too late to wheel her out, FaT? Seriously though, do you / can you ever correspond, as a stakeholder entity, with the Club, @Demonland? -

And now the touched Curnow kick, instantly claimed by the toucher, May, AND the player right there, Rivers. SO much to be riled by. -
Something slightly nice about that result: after the first quarter, the bags probably thought they'd catch us on points AND percentage, but, in the end, they couldn't have made any less impact on the percentage difference.

Does Demonland ever write to the club? I reckon it has the standing and authority to do so. It would certainly have my support. -

Thank you for picking up on my game day post. Meltdown. ENTIRELY justified. -
Carlton with Sydney in Sydney, us with this game. Helps ease the swallowing of tonight...
-
Because I agreed with everyone else. Appalling.

DEMONLAND MELTDOWN.

Or Tassie Suns? That'd go a long way to correcting a misguided stereotype.

I popped him up on here after his BOG in their 2022 GF victory. Gippy, or Goulburn V, boy, I think? Happy to 'pop him up' again.

On 'Talking Footy' just now, discussion of umpires becoming 'full time' revealed many were now already virtually full time, only some have other jobs, and the average(?) umpiring income was $150,000. I guess the discussion about 'professionalism', then, should focus on the use of that 'full' time to become truly 'professional' in performance.

And back to the subject of this thread, and some of the responses to the good-will training reporter/s: 'Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!'

@monoccular, I'll wait to see if anyone else recognises SWYL's and my 70's cultural reference. They provide a deep well for all us tragic 'Landers to drink from 😊

An Election Night Special. They set the bar high, didn't they, SWYL.

...brought into being, so legend has it, by 'our' very own RDB. An early contribution - of his many - to our great game.

Oops. Guess I was (as usual?!) being too clever by half. It wasn't a comment on your post, Moon; I was inviting @Roger Mellie to do an imaginary fun piece like his contribution on page 3! Apologies again for this misunderstanding 😔
