Farewell Kyah Farris-White
Thanks guys. I'm noting the article commences, "The club has made the first two changes to its list..." And no love, in the heading, for Josh, @Demonland? All taken care of, sort of, over on 'Delistings'...

Darren Bennett. “Great Stuff at Windy Hill”
1991 was nice: A. Jakovich 71, D. Bennett 55 (though a come-down on his 1990 87...) There were one or two games of nice overlap, I think?

Greg Stafford departs Melbourne
'Pursue other opportunities' always smacks of 'let go' as opposed to 'I'm going'. I hate it. I hope in Greg's case it was at least somewhere in between.

Greg Stafford departs Melbourne
From every one of the many mentions players give him, they're going to miss him.

Trent Rivers - 100 Games!
Gonna need two banners this week, @WalkingCivilWar and you other DA/'Landers?! 😊

Wildcard Weekend
Those who have reflected glass-half-full on our several games and close losses against teams firmly in not-mediocre ladder positions might dispute that we are mediocre?

Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
Enthralling: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1635034/afl-ben-brown-career-reflections?videoId=1635034&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1724140800001 Add your superlatives here... (p.s. I hope ANB gets the same treatment from the Club and here on 'Land, next week. He's capable of response at BBB's level, too. Look forward to it.)

Club in crisis - Media pile on - August 2024
Broke a looooong break from TV footy shows to watch F/C tonight cos maybe some kudos for Saturday. Seemed like the set-up was, 'Here's Melbourne's problems' and the ensuing discussion was, 'Here's Melbourne not having problems'. Back-peddling writ small.

Garry Lyon brilliant!
Is this it? https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/dees-can-only-trade-trac-to-one-team/video/05928aef5f9fbf663db1a18e244cba53

Get on the Club website to see Ben's farewell and Max's contract extension words. We are lucky to have chosen this Club to support.

Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
He continues as 'Talls Coach' with the women. Not hard to imagine him continuing and advancing in our AFLW program.

TRAINING: Monday 19th August 2024
Carlton, surely? Precedented. (Or, in yet another universe, 'A Judd back to West Coast')
-
TRAINING: Monday 19th August 2024
Too much more growth in the apparently mutually comfortable familiarity you have built around the training track this year, @WalkingCivilWar, and we're going to see you named in the forward (note emphasis) pocket! Boot Studder Emeritus is a Walk-up, at least.

TRAINING: Monday 19th August 2024
Grate (sic) follow-ups to this everybody. I'm surprised, though, no-one has speculated that Trac's issues are over his celery. Or maybe he's still ginger from his injuries?

Max Gawn Re-Signs Until 2027
(to yours, D-c, as representative of several others, and sorry, all, if mentioned elsewhere) Young Ned Moyle, languishing in the Suns Twos, and who doesn't mind productive time in the forward line, evidently, would have seen something he ought to have liked, first hand, on Saturday, in a 'team-and-mentor' package.

Goodwin is the MAN!
Surely someone has something to say? Since 4pm-ish on Saturday? (Footnote: Goody's unambiguous presser statement that keeping Petty, Turner and Van Rooyen together has been a deliberate approach, for '10 weeks', to create what finally blossomed (and is clearly expected/intended to continue to flourish) on Saturday. So, also, Jefferson really does need to kick the door down)
