  1. I can't split that gunn pair so I'm going with Brenn! Thanks for the 'red'ucation, too! And now the pain continues into another day...
  2. They haven't really got into the bed yet. Six wins were WC (twice, and 6 points first time and equal scoring shots second time) North, Richmond (by only 2 goals), Saints and Adelaide. Bulldogs (9.13) had more scoring shots. Credit for GWS win, but their (rematch-after-the-draw) win last week, over tonight's losers, might be colouring the footy world's perception. Tomorrow is 'Ninight' time.
  3. ...except this guy 😟: Gale guided Richmond out of debt and into financial stability, and boldly predicted in 2010 that the club would claim three flags by 2020. His words would eventually ring true when, after taking out the 2017 flag, the Tigers and coach Damien Hardwick also claimed back-to-back premierships in 2019 and 2020.10 May 2024
  4. ...presumably from something like this? https://www.bundabergrum.com.au/bundaberg-solera-rum-700ml.html Hard times, Red?
  5. Could you go as far as saying which of the three - 'Northey-Balme era', 'Daniher stalwart', and 'currently playing' - applies to which of the three clues? No apologies necessary. It's all fun!
  6. Pies fanbase not so inclined, however?...
  7. 😄 Or, I wondered, a dig at Peter Bell's perennial claims?
  8. Been meaning to ask for an explanation of these monikers for ages: 'Crom', Flagmantle' and 'Pear'.
  9. So the remaining ones are: * Rolling attack of the French! * Or leave et. (Is this fully correct?) * Little red truck. And, as per the OP, they're all on our list since 2000?
  10. Could you do a morning update of your answers, please, @Little Goffy? I need to apply my remaining Little Grey cells sparingly!
  11. >>> WingingCivilWar?
  12. The flip of this was that the 'departure' came the week after playing us. I feel like we've always been the oppo the week after departures, and the recipient of beatings by caretaker coaches. Borne out by the facts? (bit like our ability to play players or teams back into form or to provide spuds their one and only 'big game').
  13. The guy who introduced them to us is doing OK, too! 🙂
  14. Looks pretty happy with things to me - almost 'Smile File' worthy! Although, possibly won't be taking Melky's place in the box, this week at least...
  15. Remind me; when do the books close? End of July?
  16. Everyone should prepare for a 30-year commitment of GR to Tasmania in the next few years. There'll be a stadium to pay for...
  17. InDeedDeeDee! Bendigo / Sea Lake / Mildura / Renmark interesting landscapes and builtscapes (including silo art) interesting, too. As to other poster commentary on playing and watching issues, wasn't this year's outcome received and discussed pretty positively? (I choose to ignore last year's...)
  18. Slow news week?
  19. Bit of knowledge in here. Thanks team. And thanks Clyde.
  20. Answers LOTS of questions. Good stuff. From the Club, too, and nothing 'cagey' or 'vested' that I can see. Liked the double positive of Melky's on-field return and Tracc taking his field-side place. (Also relieved to here him saying 'Bella' instead of the awkward repeated 'my fiancée' in the AFL360 'interview' (I use the term parenthetically advisedly...)
  21. With you all the way, Mon, except for the talent pool aspect, which is often cited in discussion of additional teams. Each new team would take 2-3 players' worth of quality from each of the other teams. They would be replaced, effectively, by the best 2-3 players from those teams' 'seconds'. Would we really notice a difference in the quality of games?
  22. Your source, @Redleg? On second thoughts, doesn't matter; let's just treat it as a source of fun. 👍 North Kangaroos. Seamless. And once Daddy AFL has sorted the Hobart/Launceston tensions, the NT/Vic challenge will be a doddle. All of the Pacific, Jib; we need a BIG ambit claim cos Daddy AFL will duly redistribute our rights to the 'Pacific' Queensland and NSW clubs, and leave us with (if we're lucky) Cook and Pitcairn Islands...
  23. I must have missed the Rivers and Salem malignancy...
  24. ...which, back on topic, I guess/hope Tracc will be able to get into well before he's ready for footy (can't remember if he's one of the Club's little-ball obsessives...)
  25. My reference, DP: surely there's a cohort of (johnny-come-lately) 'cheerers for the red and the white' there? I guess, though, with not enough history to make them obnoxious? Yet...
