  1. Just watched the bit of the last quarter I missed. Noticed the coupla good things Benny did in the last minutes, but particularly noticed his personal and team-directed happiness after the siren. Great club man. Happy to be involved and doing his bit wherever that may be.
  2. Probably for the other game thread, Brownie, but I think 'snap' is a bit harsh. He had, and took, his time, and on second and subsequent looks I reckon the angle was less, and the distance to the closing defender greater, than they first appeared. Though 'Chin' did look somewhat less than congratulatory...
  3. ...following finals potentially played at theirs, of course (including Collingwood). The above confirms top 2 highly desirable, top 4 essential. (p.s. Thanks, all, for this thread)
  4. ...though susceptible to Crows or Power poaching forays? (Seriously, though, looks a player, and her interview on the club's website is engaging)
  5. I've just picked this one out of a handful of like-minded posts (perhaps the poster's moniker resonated!) That's where I'm at, too. And if there's one thing 'old' gives us, it's time-won insight that what we supporters 'project' onto them is probably very different from where our twenty-something players' and our 'been-there-done-that-I'm-actually-the-ones-involved-here' coaching and football staff's heads are actually at. Check out Maysie's post-game for a 'soother'. (I cower now for the blow-back...)
  6. Good fun, as ever, @Demonstone, Thanks! But get into some real fun and get a dog. Or a chook, eh, @WalkingCivilWar? Or even a cat (we have a Benny in the family😁) What would you name them? (cue more fun!)
  7. I hope this thread has been emotionally in the right direction for you, Chook (and other 'Landers who are missing their FFs, like @jane02)? And underneath that avatar, eh?...
  8. ...and in the meantime, the Premiers front up as 2022 Victorian Sport Awards Team of the Year finalists on 7 June. Something else they're 2023 favourites in, surely.
  9. My question, too! Best I can do is that it was riffing on the OP's '...welcoming new ones as they inevitably arrive.' Now, come on everyone, back to being (dare I say it)... Petty.
  10. What you've all said re the video, its participants, its messages, and our club. And what a great place Kozzie comes from, both physically and emotionally.
  11. Edie of the OP is a Schnauzer, Jane. Perhaps she enters the world as your Hunter left it, carrying a little bit of him on (the red and blue, at least, certainly😊)
  12. Gotta say it: @WalkingCivilWar's current problem!
  13. I thought once'd be enough but I feel I need to repeat periodically! Keep the fun, joy and Dee-ness going folks! And looking forward to more Dees names (wondering if yours are 'Jeff' and, with some licence, 'Sean', @Bitter but optimistic?)
  14. My fault, then, WCW? Sorry! And see below...
  15. Looked to me like he did it during or before his mark for his first goal - he was limping as he went back to take the kick. Would playing on have exacerbated it? (spilt milk, I guess...)
  16. 👍, 😆, ❤️ and 👏 to all posters from hereon 😊
  17. No sign of a tail, so Seriously High (Extreme) Echelon Player?
  18. Surely he'd answer to 'Harry', then, demo? Or even 'Hassa'? 🙂
  19. Permission now received. Introducing Edie (she's the dog one):
