Robbie and the run to the finals
Appreciate the memories @Flower Magic. Perchance, from your Nom De 'Land, you have a special attachment? You probably won't get far here linking 2024 to 1987, but, hey, any excuse to remember, red-and-blue-ly, goes well here anyway.

Instagrim, Facebreak, ClokTok, Xer; I'm sooooo glad my only social media presence is on here. Still not great but, yeah, so glad...

The SANFL's assessment (shame about the Lobb comparison...) And still growing?! https://sanfl.com.au/draft-pick/tom-scully/

We have, actually, in the context of this year's carnival. A bit underwhelming, it has seemed. I sometimes wonder if 'his footy' has been less about Kalani and more about Jeff...

Trade Targets
Yes, although wasn't he less effective 'around the ground' than our boys?

Trade Targets
I 'called' this, too, after seeing his BOG effort in their 2022 GF win, noting he was a VIC (Shepp?) boy, too. But I also think there's been some critical reviewing of him on here since then?

Allen Jakovich’s 30th Anniversary
Here's some more contemporary fun with Jako, too. Multiple reasons to enjoy! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DBsvJw6coz5s&ved=2ahUKEwiLsaOPoq2HAxVQsVYBHSkOA3w4ChC3AnoECAQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw37G8mJoU2OCvQluGXrW0Nj

Allen Jakovich’s 30th Anniversary
Yep. A very successful career, long and even into coaching - maybe even still, I think.

Allen Jakovich’s 30th Anniversary
Sorry if some or all of this was in the OP article; not unusually, I couldn't open it. But here's that day: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.afl.com.au/video/194710/dees-freak-allen-jakovich-dobs-11-goals-and-an-insane-bicycle-kick-1991%3FvideoId%3D194710%26modal%3Dtrue%26type%3Dvideo%26publishFrom%3D1563440400001&ved=2ahUKEwi69b3rhK2HAxUd6zgGHVm7CEMQtwJ6BAgeEAE&usg=AOvVaw2MtvSapfNkT7WGnrzCFybi (I've noticed this before: it's a shame so much of Jako's work was seen and is recorded against the crowd-free background of a new Southern Stand worksite. And speaking of forward lines, Jakovich, Bennett, Lyon, Spalding, eh?)

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
Re the '50', I agree with you all (apologies for not quoting you all individually). I've always assumed it came partly from the measurement reference provided the 50m square and 50m arcs (so it'd be nice, btw, if the umpires used these, consistently and accurately!) So a reference convenience would be retained with 'half 50' - 25m. 15m provided a gain of a minimum markable kick; the 50m change took it all the way to a 'full' kick. I like the idea that a 'middling' penalty would disrupt the set-ups. Re Saturday's game (surely this has been jumped on already, so apologies) I loved our forwards getting the job done, tradesman-like. You know who I mean; Fritta and Turner?

I'm gonna do the post-Clausewitz thing, then, @Little Goffy. I need my day!

I can't split that gunn pair so I'm going with Brenn! Thanks for the 'red'ucation, too! And now the pain continues into another day...

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
They haven't really got into the bed yet. Six wins were WC (twice, and 6 points first time and equal scoring shots second time) North, Richmond (by only 2 goals), Saints and Adelaide. Bulldogs (9.13) had more scoring shots. Credit for GWS win, but their (rematch-after-the-draw) win last week, over tonight's losers, might be colouring the footy world's perception. Tomorrow is 'Ninight' time.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
...except this guy 😟: Gale guided Richmond out of debt and into financial stability, and boldly predicted in 2010 that the club would claim three flags by 2020. His words would eventually ring true when, after taking out the 2017 flag, the Tigers and coach Damien Hardwick also claimed back-to-back premierships in 2019 and 2020.10 May 2024

Demonstone's YACK (Yet Another Cryptic Kerfuffle)
Could you go as far as saying which of the three - 'Northey-Balme era', 'Daniher stalwart', and 'currently playing' - applies to which of the three clues? No apologies necessary. It's all fun!
