The biggest concern with this whole situation is that it is starting to appear as if this story has been bubbling away for months. Surely an organisation such as the AFL should have proactively pursued this before it became public knowledge. How hard would it be to consult with the club & effected parties before it hit the fan. Mifsud is surely now totally conflicted in his role. And AFL HQ has the aroma of a steaming dog pile. -

Bit of perspective required? We got belted on the weekend. Is he going to come on smiling & chatting about his mate Neeldy? I can imagine the caning he would get then. And it was stupid to ask him if his team mates will be dropped. I'd say his response was more about the stupidity of the question than anything else.

Stats say different. He had more kicks marks & hit outs than any ruckman on the ground. I thought he tried his guts out, as distinct from a few others. Problem was, our on ballers were pantsed, too many plodders. Lions onballers ran away from the stoppages unopposed all day.

No. They tried to get pick 2 in the mini draft. They don't have to take Crouch with it. They probably will take him, but no one is locked into any particular position.

Interesting the assumption that Adelaide will take Crouch. They probably will, but I'm sure they expressed interest in Kennedy a while back. Would be worth trying to get third spot just on the chance Crouch is still there.

Trade week. Is that the week where all the clubs try to offload their duds for more than they are worth? Let's face it, there are very few win/win deals done in trade week.

If he is truly gone then I can forgive his two years of no contribution (had injuries after all).... I can forgive him taking the money & going (it's a once in a lifetime chance).... But The way he has gone about it is sickening. Unlike Ward & Davis he has totally disrespected the club & supporters. I don't forgive that....

My point is that the Jim should not be the football director for obvious reasons. It would appear that Jim has taken on this role because things were not functioning without one. That would imply that, since Leoncelli left, there is no one on the board currently who can do it.
