Interesting, not a Tasmaniac in that group. -
Was in a restaurant 1 night in 2008, Sheehan was at the next table, asked him If Nic Nat would look good in a dees strip, he said, " Believe me the best player in the draft is Jack Watts", He goes on Hype not smarts, if he says we will pick someone, then hopefully we don't.

Cannot see nth passing up on Curtin when they need young Talls. Can't see dees passing up on him either. Won't get to 9

Agree, we allowed 3 Cat B rookies, so maybe Orlando Turner to come in ? -

Agree that Tomo, BBB and TMac off the list next year, so would that not mean we would be looking this year at the best tall to replace one of those guys, O'Sullivan / Curtin etc. ??? -
2023 List and Contract Details

Hi Luc, can you tell me the machinations of moving a player from the primary to the rookie list, is it a straight move by the club or do they have to satisfy the AFL in some way. -

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 11
Viscount Cardwell replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I did say that players may not fall in this order, the ranking is from Cal Twoomey ! No way WC will take a real 8 and 16 and ff1 for pick 1, we have no chance of getting it. I hope I am proved wrong. -
Welcome to Demonland: Pick 11
Viscount Cardwell replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pick 11, I believe, becomes pick 16, if you factor in F/S and academy picks, using Cal Twomey's September rankings players may not fall in this order, but you can see how compromised this draft is. Our pick 6 (8) may net us one of Curtin, Sanders or Caddy, with pick 16 a toss up between Murphy, Windsor and Wilson, along with Young Doggie Brown, job done for today. Hard to turn 8 and 16 plus a FF1 into #1. -
Welcome to Demonland: Pick 11

We just have to understand that we are only ever going to be interested in drafting 2 players and young brown, with the upgrade of Turner, then we are only interested in 1 player in the draft unless the FD move Melksham to the rookie list, creating a second opening on our list. Reid, Brown, Turner fills our quota at the moment. Goody has just said that Petty ain't going anywhere. Might clear an extra spot if Spargo gets told he will probably only play 2's from now on. Lots to play out, Lamby will get it done. -
2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Not sure Croft has nominated the Dogs, weighing up whether they have too many tall forwards, could be wrong but ! Western Bulldogs father-son prospect Jordan Croft yet to make call on future, 'open to other clubs' (afl.com.au) -
Curtin ???

Do we now have pick 14, as we have dropped below carlton on the final ladder ? Also pick 11 from Sydney for Grundy and picks 24 and 34 -
Not sure Croft has committed to the dogs, they have too many tall forwards at the moment. Lobb, Naughton, JUH and the old ruckman's father son. As already mentioned above.

Papley, 177cm. Watson 170cm, fair difference in height, but the kid has good reports. Hope he hasn't reached his ceiling.

GC already have enough points to cover their Academy kids, they have 4 of them not just the 3 we've read about. It would look like they will trade pick 4 for future firsts. They may only need around 4200 points depending on where their bids fall, and they will get some currency from any players they trade out. Maybe our FF1 plus ports FF2 for grundy plus #15
-
Yes GC do have pick 4, but will be gobbled up with their first academy member at pick 2, so they will trade it out for currency (our proposal will be 15, 24, 34 and our FF1, possibly then offer 4 and 5 to WC for 1), we may be the club who bid and get their pick 4, but who knows, I'll still take any 2 of Watson, Duursma, Caddy or O'Sullivan. Will be interesting off season. Its all navel gazing at the moment, Cheers

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Viscount Cardwell replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
My opinion is, that if you want pick 4 from GC, then you will need to throw in pick 15, 24 and 34 plus our FF1, GC will only deal if its a big advantage to them. We get 2 top 5 picks, plus Young Brown and upgrade Turner. You have to give to get.
