  1. Pretty incredible that a 51 game 20 year old player (21 tomorrow I think) is equal no.1 in Champion Data player ratings as discussed by Glenn Luff on 3AW tonight.
  2. Geelong are BOG ordinary. Prior to Viney being a late withdrawal and now Hibberd missing I was confident of a victory. It will now be tough. Out: Hibberd, Hannan In: Smith, Tyson Dees by 10 points.
  3. You keep your best players unless there's no alternative. Hogan is 3 years off his best footy. Most clubs would be rapt to have him. Best of all, the MFC is his home.
  4. Hogan feeling at home in Melbourne by Ben Guthrie 31 May 2018 JESSE Hogan says he is not actively contemplating a return to Perth ahead of his contract at Melbourne expiring at the end of 2019. "I've lived here (Melbourne) for about six years now and I'd almost call it home," Hogan told AFL.com.au. "I still love going back to Perth obviously. But with each year I stay here, it's probably that little bit further away from going back to Perth."
  5. It doesn't matter how many times you tell the nongs they won't believe until he signs. It's the way they're wired.

Opinionhome, can you tell me if Gaff is staying or going ? I'm keen to know in advance.
  7. My final pre-finals prediction... We are about to get on a salad. We win comfortably today and then beat Geelong in Geelong and Adelaide in Adelaide. In fact, our only loss is to West Coast in Perth. We finish on 15 wins and 4th spot on the ladder.

That's incredible ! Even Sloane wasn't certain he was going to stay, but you were. Amazing
  9. Please yourself mate. Worry your little heart until it's content.
  10. You obviously haven't listened to a recent Melbourne podcast. If there's one player not going anywhere it's Brayshaw. He hasn't strung enough games together on the back of concussion issues to be offered a big contract by another club and he loves the Dees club and his teammates. He also comes from a great family with loads of character. He's the last player you should be worried about leaving.
  11. A great 50th game. How lucky are we to have this 20 year old player ? It would be interesting to know how his stats rank after 50 games compared to many of the game's best.
  12. You didn't know. It's OK.
  13. Clearly you didn't know. It's OK. At least it gave you opportunity to share an opinion that none of us knew.
  14. You needed to see this list today to know the extent of our injuries ? Wow

Great. Another player I won't have to worry about next time we play Hawthorn. Looking forward to Roughead and Burgoyne joining him.

    Stick to soccer, pommy.

28 disposals and six score involvements to 3/4 time. Having another cracking game is Gaff.

Thank you. I feel better now.

I'm of the view that you talk to as many people as you can and then disseminate the information. Know that there may be biases in play and form conclusions accordingly. If you ask enough of the right questions you can usually get an accurate guide.

From her article. Balme, Walsh and the bloke who conducted the internal Collingwood investigation were supposedly not interviewed. That doesn't sound like proper due diligence to me. How do you know it was done ? Why are you so defensive ? Do you know all the facts, or are you just another blind faith supporter that is convinced their club can do no wrong ?

Clearly, I think differently to other people. I thought the article was well written and very informative. It gave me a walk through what key personnel and stakeholders were thinking, as well as what they did and didn't do. I like to be informed about my club, not kept in the dark, and I'm more aware for having read it. I also didn't feel there was any bias, just reporting of events, as well as inferences, which goes with the territory when you're tying together perspectives from all angles of those with competing interests. This Board has runs on the board so I'll back the appointment, although it appears not all due diligence has been as thorough as one would have liked. I also would have liked some input from Jackson whether that is considered de rigueur or not.
  22. Really ? They're usually a 9 month recovery from memory, which puts him in the frame for round 1. Obviously they won't rush him, but I'd expect the first few rounds.

I don't know if it was or wasn't, but Billy boy has a mouth the size of Lunar Park.

I suspect their "feelings" are fine given they were 3 of only 5 candidates in the running. That says more than a president's clumsy media performance.

I don't disagree with any of that. Do we know how the employees who missed out were treated internally ? The fact that they were given the running for the job shows how they're valued.
