Why do supporters worry about what incoming players are paid ? I couldn't care less. We either get better or we don't. Get better.

Farewell Judd McVee
It's not a great example, because Geelong traded what they could. It doesn't make it a cast iron fact that that was all he was worth. It's all they had.

Rumours
I'll be shocked if they do.

I never said he was quick. I've never thought it either. In fact, if you hadn't said, ''his lack of pace is a big worry'', which is utter garbage, I wouldn't be in dialogue with you.

Rumours
I'm convinced you just guess at a player's pace. When I read your comment I thought to myself, do I ever remember thinking Flanders was slow ? After-all, he's been in my Fantasy side more than once. No, I never had. So, I thjought I'd check his junior profile. ''His hands are his greatest asset when in midfield, coupling with his explosive power which while he clocks a three-second flat 20-metre sprint, is also helped with his sheer strength to burst away from opponents and gain some much needed separation on his opponents.'' You talk utter nonsense half the time, interspersed with some good stuff.

State of Origin is Back
Zero interest. I loved it when I followed the VFL, but it's completely anachronistic in today's national competition.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I'm going to rattle off some stats that I'm not mad on, but I'm not sure how to better differentiate Neale-Bullen's 2025 to previous years. His kicking efficiency percentage is at about career average, his disposal efficiency is within a point or so of his career average and was better last year, his clanger rate is the same. I accept you've noticed a few more dynamic plays, but, in reality, he's the same footballer he's always been.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Statistically, Neale-Bullen's best year was 2018, where he averaged more disposals and kicked more goals. He's had a good year, but nothing to carry on about.

Surely, you realise where he was picked in the draft is now utterly irrlevant ?

Does your Son rate Jefferson ?

CASEY: Semi Final vs Frankston
I agree with George's list. I can't agree with Bob that Tholstrup has clean hands. At AFL level all I see is a fumbler. I don't agree with Dazzle and others re Laurie. He's not up to it. A classic list clogger. I also think Jefferson is one of the biggest duds I've ever laid eyes on. But I accept that's not a popular assessment around here.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Of course he's not a good kick. An [censored] knows that. But he's not a poor kick for a ruckman. I said there needed to be context. This site is getting harder and harder to read. It's beyond pointless.

OK. I didn't know that you're disengenuous. Noted. When you said, ''Added to that Gawn is a poor kick and Langdon below average'', am I meant to take it that you're also referring to Langdon's goal-kicking ? Or more likely, his general kicking. You were clearing talking about Gawn's general kicking, and I responded accordingly. Now you're bringing goal-kicking into it. Everyone knows he's not a good set shot, although 2025 was far worse than most other years. You were clearly referencing Gawn's general kicking, which is not ''poor'' for a ruckman as you incorrectly assert.

It's relative for ruckmen. Gawn is not a poor kick. In fact, he's one of the more reliable. His retention rate for kicks is equal second, along with Rowan Marshall, for all main rucks. As an example, it's better than Tim English. While his kicking efficiency percentage is only behind English. Granted, it's not a stat I'm mad on, but for rucks it's as reliable as you're likely to get.

You're describing a prima donna and an i.diot. It's only natural that the i.diot gets cut some slack.

So Oliver's toxic behaviour is down to mental health issues ? There's an excuse for everything these days.

Welcome to Demonland: Harvey Langford
So you agree with me and disagree with me. Both comments were from me. That said, I merely pointed out that Langford might have finished the year well, because he was 19 all year. The poster I quoted called him an ''18 year old''. A little amusing, as he never stepped on the field as an 18 year old. Facts, nuance, and many other things, escape the emotional airheads on here.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
You've come up with a lot of scenarios here, but left out an obvious one. Perhaps, and I have no clue, the club recognises that many of the issues at the club were beyond Richardson's control and that they think things could have been worse if not for his guidance and stewardship. If you're not within the club on a daily basis you wouldn't know.

Duursma is one of the classiest young players you'd ever see. Is he soft ? That's the question. But with his talent you'd take the punt every day of the week. Back yourself to shift his mindset, assuming it's required.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Thanks. What other footy acts are weighted the same as a contested mark ? Or do weightings differ on a sliding scale ?
-

Thanks. So contested marking barely rates ?
