  1. Lost by 3 points in the preliminary final last year to the same team. Apples and oranges. But it's also not "every" game. Young sides can come out when they're up and have great results in the last few rounds. Conversely, the opposite can occur.
  2. I have a few players I'm looking forward to seeing and Viv doesn't make the top 20.
  3. Collingwood lose by 91 and the Giants lose by 89. It happens to young(ish) teams when there's nothing to play for. I genuinely believe our talent is greater than some believe and I look forward to a 10 (+) win season in 2016.
  4. Where he ranks him tells me more than the words he uses to describe him and he has him outside his top 10.
  5. After his third year it looked like Redden was going to become one of the competition's elite midfielders. He was among exalted company in the top 10 rankings for the year coming in at no. 7 alongside the likes of Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Rockliff, Thompson, Mitchell and Selwood. I'm not completely sure what happened, but he's trailed off in most years since, although his 2012 was still good. I wouldn't be averse to having him, as one wouldn't knock back any player that makes us better, however, I don't see him as overly important. I've got a bit of a novel idea, why don't we develop from within ? Notwithstanding his disappointing year I do believe Tyson will become a very good player and along with Viney, vanDemon, Salem, Petracca, Trengove, Brayshaw, Stretch, Kent, Harmes and ANB we have a reasonable squad/rotation to develop. I'd love a ready made gun to join the group, but I'm not sure Redden has the skill set to differentiate from what we've got.
  6. The guy played 150 games for the Dees, often in times of unprecedented turmoil, so I'll give him the respect he deserves.
  7. One of our better draft picks. I'm thankful for small mercies.
  8. I see Matthew Watson has been included in Carlton's squad. If he plays he'll be praying he doesn't line up on Hogan, who towelled him up as an 18 year old playing for Casey on his way to 6 against the Bullants.
  9. You're taking yourself way too seriously. I'm sure you won't be offended if I say I couldn't give a rat's toss bag where you are on the "political spectrum". And if I pigeon holed you please accept my heartfelt apologies. Yours sincerely, ProDee
  10. As you know I wanted to turn the list over at the time. Not all supporters agreed and still don't, as they seem to become attached to a player for the simple act of wearing red and blue.
  11. Ok, so you're a left-leaning centrist. Bully for you. And you don't need to engage me in direct conversation, as you've always tended to. Keep walking.
  12. Nothing.
  13. I'd happily trade Watts. He's the poster boy for this clubs years of ineptitude. It would almost provide "clean air" as we move forward. Will it happen ? No. Supporters carry on about his skill and decision making etc, but it's vastly overrated. His total package is "ordinary".
  14. It wasn't lost on me. But there's got to be a better way of delivery/decision making.
  15. Smart Labor voters know this holiday is crap. It's just the dumb cronies or belligerent supporters that have troubles.
  16. It's amazing to me that a regular on here thought Roos recruited Terlich.
  17. Surprisingly, Demonland is a great (oxymoron) bastion of leftism.
  18. Which only shows that you're biassed and don't recognise how deplorable your side of politics has been. They are the greatest wasters of public money in history. Be proud.
  19. 39. Hogan is a dead set certainty to finish top 3 and I suspect he'll come second to Vince. Jones and McDonald will round out the top 4.
  20. It's a moronic idea that costs business a fortune and punishes casual workers. But what would one expect from Labor ?
  21. As much as McDonald has some fine traits as a footballer I never want the ball in his hands. But it always seems to get into his bloody hands.
