  1. No disrespect to Parish, but Oliver is a far more influential footballer. Brayshaw will also have him covered. I can't believe they also left out Petracca. No bias.
  2. I miss the word "major".
  3. Silly comment. You can waste your time reading banal rubbish if you like. We all have choices.
  4. My Demonland experience is so much better without, Stu. Unfortunately he gets quoted a lot. Still, looking down a page and seeing a sea of yellow is bliss.
  5. Last year these players lined up for Melbourne: Grimes, Newton, Michie, Dunn, Cross, Salem, Dawes, Neal-Bullen, Howe, Garland, Lumumba They've been replaced by: Tyson, Bugg, O. McDonald, Jetta, Kent, Oliver, Hunt, vandenBerg, Petracca, Frost, Pedersen Half the team will be different. Salem is the only 'in' I'd like. While others talk themselves into being nervous about this game due to last year's result I take solace in the fact that we're a completely different team with loads more talent, a different game-plan and something on the line. I expect the Dees to win comfortably (although we all know what can happen).
  6. He's not underrated, he's been much better since coming back from being dropped.
  7. A Melbourne player wins the weekly Rising Star, but I feel flat. Well done, but imo the wrong player got the nod.
  8. Petracca - power and 'x' factor Oliver - the creative and aggressive beast in the engine room Brayshaw - tough and skilled - the best by foot on both sides I don't want to rank them - yet
  9. Just watched the game again. I'd almost turn for this lad.
  10. Probably the thickest comment I've read in 14 years. Take a bow.
  11. Rubbish.
  12. It's thread worthy. Hogan's action is the pits.
  13. I can't remember a year like it.
  14. Love him. You wouldn't like two ?
  15. You never knock back a talent like Cripps, but we're in far more need of an Isaac Smith. Boy would I love him. Ps. I realise it's a joke re Cripps
  16. Have those that said a month ago we wouldn't win another match gone to ground ?
  17. "Give Paul Roos one last chance to coach in a final" Ring a bell ?
  18. Loved Brayshaw's goal on the left. It showed a level of class not many players have.
  19. What am I missing here ? Ah, ok. Caleb ...
  20. Daniel may win and probably deserves to win, but a player of his calibre winning diminishes the award a bit in my eyes. I'd give it to Mills. Btw, I'm not meaning to sound disrespectful to Daniel, but I don't envisage that he'll ever be more than a good ordinary player.
  21. I've spent a fair bit of time at training and keenly kept an eye on Hogan's goal-kicking and I've never seen him attempt a kick from 50 or beyond. He always sets up about 35 metres out.
  22. Exactly ! The amount of posters who said I was wrong to bemoan his action last year was incredible. I'll be amazed - again - if he doesn't do something about it during the preseason. Can hardly kick over a jam tin.
  23. There is only one player presently not in the team who has undoubted class and at his best makes us better and that's Salem. I look forward to he and Weideman being staples of the side in 2017. I admire Harmes. He has speed and aggression. Really needs to tidy up his ball use. Probably no changes.
