  1. So if we listen to direct sources, not much happened. Players, coaches, administrative staff have been having conversations about getting better. Pretty standard end of season talking points. if we listen to the media, everything happened, the sky is falling and the club is a cesspool of sub human types with bad intentions and they are bad at their jobs. I like that the club took its time and wasn’t playing the media’s game or working to their schedule. I’m sure some staff will move on from the club over the off season and that’s probably for the best. Some renewal is always necessary. It’s impossible to gauge how serious this was based only on listening to media speculation. why is it we all know the media are full of [censored] yet when they talk about us so many can’t help but try and read the tea leaves without realising the tea leaves are manufactured and those discussed are caricatures not necessarily built on reality.
  2. We shouldn’t let the media make us furious. It means you’ve let them win. We should rise above their target audience which is lower mid and below type intellects and I should hope we are all a bit better than that
  3. Why is it that we are so hated? I’ve only recently come to realise how much other teams supporters genuinely dislike us. I always thought we were too irrelevant to hate. I guess it has to do with our history and our supporter profile skewing wealthy, whether or not that is accurate or a cliche I’m not even sure…
  4. A football club is huge. Talking to trac is one thing. Talking to his family is another. Who the [censored] talks to an employees family? Maybe she’s happy to let people do their jobs. Hire good people, let them do their job. Simple stuff.
  5. You reckon our football department hasn’t already done a lot of that planning throughout the season and continue to do so? Many people are turning up to work and doing their job at the club still despite the media also doing theirs.
  6. It’s not her job to speak directly to trac. There’s a football department and there are well being specialists, career specialists, psychologists, etc. It’s also possible they’ve decided that it’s best not to overwhelm the guy too. If the whole club decide to call him at once that’s probably not great either.
  7. You are biased against the club sir. There’s no indication that’s true
  8. why? We can’t have everyone on the phone to him. If others are then it’s fine
  9. Calm down @Dr. Gonzo
  10. I’ll still boo him next year even if he’s in our jumper.
  11. He’s definitely gone then!!
  12. What concrete evidence do you have for our cultural issues?
  13. Great clubs like who? Collingwood, who have had many cultural and player issues aired publicly. Hawthorn who have had massive help from the afl in sweeping their racism issues during their glory days under the rug. West coast or Essendon and their drug problems? Just cause it’s our turn doesn’t mean other clubs haven’t copped [censored] too. Doesn’t mean they handled things any better than we are. We can’t judge how we’ve handled it yet.
  14. right up until he nearly lost his spleen.
  15. But was number one for score involvements in the league.
  16. I this max is great leader. Mongrel, as useful as it can be at times is, I think, overrated. I do wonder if it’s a team ethos or direction to not get too engaged with that sort of behaviour on field though as there are times when you would like to see something especially with max. I have to think he’s told everyone to leave it to him.
  17. Max is a soft leader?
  18. History doesn’t repeat itself but it rhymes. One year after losing trac to Carlton do we then fire goodwin after winning a flag and finally complete the cycle and lift the curse?
  19. Everyone’s opinion is based on nothing though and we are arguing as if our lives are on the line. My question is what is the point of being so passionate about something you’ve essentially made up.
  20. How could anything be abundantly clear to you with anything relating to this unless you come along with an opinion already formed based on one person who is bad at their jobs reporting and then use silence as confirmation of your opinion when in reality it is confirmation of nothing. You can’t possibly be sure of anything until you hear all sides. For all you know the club is just choosing to be careful with how and when they respond. This wouldn’t be the first time that was so. We’ve been through this when Brayshaw was considering his contract and with clarry more recently. Mostly it just ends up being people jumping at shadows and or silence and making the fatal error of listening to a journalist who is at the bottom of the pile of junk that is afl journalism. The argument that silence says everything is only ever confirmation bias.
  21. Book the grand final after party then. Firm favourites now.
  22. That show really is a wasteland of moronic opinions.
  23. He just generally looks that way and sounds that way too.
  24. Since 2007 Geelong have never made an error in running the club. Not. Even. Once!
  25. Used to watch him at northcote park. He was a freak.
