Brett Anderson who's got pretty good sources and is a huge Dees man has been saying for the past few weeks that we're having huge cracks at both May and Lever.

Pathetic thread. People talking as if we've won 3 flags in a row and are untouchable. I was as impressed as anyone by our win on the weekend but we've accomplished absolutely nothing - won a round one game! Still haven't played finals in a decade. Still haven't won a flag in over 50 years. 3 games ago the team that everyone's mocking beat us comfortably. 2 games ago we were beaten by 20 goals. Enjoy our ride up the ladder but have a little humility. Pride comes before a fall.

The bloke's finished 2nd and 4th in the BnF in his two injury unaffected years at the club. He may never become an A-grader but there's no doubt he's clearly best 22. Usually agree with the majority of your posts Clint but that's an odd one.

Exactly the first thing that came into my head. I have a crownbet account that I use sporadically and get very few emails at all from them.

Interesting the interview with Tom McDonald on the club website. You can tell both he and Max worded their answers carefully in their respective interviews but there's clearly been an issue, minor or major, with Watts over the the summer.

Staggers me when people make such strong judgments about the merits of decisions like this. The reality is we have absolutely no idea about the off-field attributes of the players that make them suitable or not for leadership positions. On-field leadership is of course important, but we don't know the majority of what goes on behind closed doors, and only get a glimpse into what the players are like as people and as leaders. If Goodwin and the other coaches think Viney is ready, how on earth could we possibly argue from our positions far removed from the inner sanctum of the club?
