Time to go Goody?
From my experience with boards. They are fairly clueless to what is really going in. They get told what they want to hear from 1 or 2 people who are just trying to make themselves look good and putting them first over the organisation. I've seen a big organisation go from well run and fantastic moral to the complete opposite and it took the board 3 years to figure out something is not right. The problem they had was getting their information from too little amount of people, all on the same level of the organisation. There has to be fluidity from top to bottom. Everyone from the players to the ceo should be able to get their thoughts across to the board or anyone to anyone else. No role should be solely placed with one individual. Especially when it comes to player acquisitions as it's very much a personal evaluation. I'm not a fan of seperated line coaches. Each coach should be on the same wavelength and the team coached as a team. Sure do some sessions divided up but at the moment it's like 3 different teams coming together on gameday. Basically what I'm saying is I hope they are looking into the system of communication within the club and making sure the board gets every but if information at every meeting. Our player acquisitions are looked at and discussed with as many minds as possible. Even the review was done by one person which I find extremely unprofessional from the club.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Definitely agree we likely get a 2nd at best I'm someone wants him. These long contracts are killing us and didn't learn from it signing Pickett on one.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Highly doubt Cats have changed stance that much. If anything his contract looks better with a year off it.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
This just proves more that Hawks kept making moves and identified earlier to move players on to get to the right spot. Yes probably likely we won't get like for like output but it opens doors for cap space or picks and better contracts vs output and change is probably best for both parties.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
We know Geelong are likely still keen and probably Clarry too. I'd be hopeful of a first rounder but considering Geelong got Bowes and a first for nothing I'm not too sure where the Oliver situation sits. Guess it comes down to how much salary both sides pay or if it's even possible Clarry can sign a contract taking less to move.

Judd McVee Contract
He won't sign. He's going.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
I'd let Clarry go. Think it's best for him to get a fresh start plus I don't feel it's best for the team to have him around. I don't care if we pay half his wages elsewhere. Trac, if he asks again then he can go. No point having anyone who doesn't really want to be there stay. I'd let Viney go. The rest depends on what we get in return.

Time to go Goody?
It starts with the coach to get the best out of the players. If the whole teams form has dipped that is on on Goody first.

Time to go Goody?
Of course we can sack Goodwin. We sacked Neeld with 18 months to go and paid him. Jackson said the poor performance on-field was costing us a lot financially.

After the Great Choke
On that last Saints kick, I haven't exactly analysed it but how hard can it be to defend with 20-21 players and 8 seconds left. Just defend any space within kicking distance from a mark. How the hell was there so much space for Milera. Man on man was not the way to go with 20 defenders inside 50.

After the Great Choke
Anyone not 100% committed to club should go including Trac.

Time to go Goody?
I think it comes down to a vote of the board. I think interim still means you do your job and not spin around on the office chair all day. I would hope so anyway. Neeld was sacked at a Friday board meeting and told 8am on Monday. There's an article titled "Neeld sacked" on AFL website if search for it and it's a good little read on what Jackson had to say at the time.

May to Tribunal
You could easily argue he was winning the race for the ball the way it was bouncing, but then it bounced towards Evans at last possible moment giving May no time to think how to react.

Disco Bounces Back from Tragedy
Don't know why there's an argument about culture over one players one interview. Yes, couldn't be happier to have Turner on board and was very nice of Lamb and Richardson. There's 40ish players and more than 2 staff so forming conclusions off this is a bit of a reach. If Adams and Howes come in next year as best 22 and May and Lever are still here I wonder if there's room for everyone and if so who plays forward.

Time to go Goody?
They all have re-invented themselves to remain competitive and a chance of a flag most seasons. We after the flag went backwards a bit, then backwards a lot with no real sign in sight of reversal because we don't adapt and change like those you mentioned.
-
Time to go Goody?
95% of list has gone backwards this year. How many years of forward line problems is it now? No reward for effort for Casey players. If someone is dropped they are back after a week despite how they play at Casey. Culture seems non-existent and on decline since GF win. Inability to integrate any Players acquired from other clubs. Inability to implement a new game plan that works straight away or at all. Thanks so much for the Premiership but it's time Goody.

Time to go Goody?
This season is over. Of course I hate losing but I can see the club board being satisfied to say that Goody is the guy for 2026 if we finished the season really well and I don't believe that is in the best interests of the club. This thread went of pause during the 5 from 6 wins with the hope we turned it around but we didn't. I'll say it again. I hate us losing. It ruins my week. I'm getting depressed we are no longer competitive. I just see the club looking for an excuse to keep Goody and I want to see this club have the balls to say enough is enough it's time for change. I want hope for next near and beyond and I'm adamant that we need a new voice with a new coach. You can smell the culture dying from a mile away. Don't accuse me of not being a true supporter. I want us to be the best and I even believe we can be competitive at the top next year. Only if the players are given a fresh voice though. I don't want losses but I also don't want to hear "form at the end of the season gives us the confidence that Goody is the man for the job in 2026" from the board, ceo, or president.

Time to go Goody?
Not if it's for the long term good of the club.

Time to go Goody?
Sad to say but probably better off losing most remaining games than getting a false dawn that allows Goody to stay.

My 3 word player analysis V Crows
Was about to say he is not 100%. Ankle surgery in April and 8 weeks off then rushed back in after 1 VFL game.

My 3 word player analysis V Crows
Couldn't agree more. I've been thinking about him as a coach for a while. I love it he's so passionate.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Not having a go at anyone in particular but there is a lot of excuses here. End of the day these 2 are paid handsomely to perform as elite footballers and they aren't producing that. Both have let the club down off the field. Both have serious question marks on how them at the club are influencing their teammates/culture. It's either change of coach to try spark them up or see you later as far as I'm concerned. So stupid to give these long term deals. Even did it again with Kossie after all this.

Time to go Goody?
Perhaps a buyout of his contract can be negotiated. Ask AFL if we can spread the cost over say 5 years for soft cap. We can't have another summer of Goody. No one's gonna want to rock up for this same [censored] different week performances. Including the fans.
