  1. We get blown away by opposition best kids every week and have been that way for a while. For those that play supercoach you'd know that if you have a gun mid vs the Dees you'll probably score very well. Also like the fact that he hasn't fully broke out yet which means we get him cheaper and he hasn't had a consistent role as of yet. If he's played in his ideal role his ceiling is actually pretty big.
  2. So interviews with the assistants still in the finals?
  3. I think most are overthinking all this. Caro is a journalist. Journalist job = get clicks. She hasn't just walked out of the secret AFL Powerbrokers room on the secret level at Crown Towers with orders to publicly convince Buckley to go to Tassie.
  4. He should. He's also predicted 27 Brownlow votes on AFL site which is his best by far. He has always at least equaled his prediction since 2021 so perhaps a bit of smokie (for top 3) as the umps certainly notice him and with Trac and Oliver not taking a heap a way, however losing most games will hurt. Paying $150 for the win. Mcluggage another underated one who polls better than expected at $67.
  5. If there's no room in the backline line for either Adams and Howes next year. Are they good prospects as forwards?
  6. Best of luck mate. Vincent Chungue, guy with the tablet on our bench got an internship as his way in. Maybe try and get in touch with him. He's on LinkedIn.
  7. Who should go is anyone not fully invested in the club. I'm a fan of May. He cops it for his passion and competitiveness, but I love him for it. I really want to see him forward now we have key back depth. He would take the pressure off JVR, Kentiand Jeffo etc TMac can probably play another year back too.
  8. Social media is going downhill badly. X (Twitter) in particular is unbearable. Free speech, as Musk thinks it is, is just full of the stupid people believing stupid things. It's all negative too and of course everyone having a go at everyone and everything. Facebook is all about blaming the council for everything. Humans have a negativity bias where individuals tend to focus more on negative information and experiences than positive ones. Demonland is very good in comparison, though personal attacks, in any form are completely unacceptable and unnecessary. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
  9. I'm pretty sure the club already said they needed a new voice and he's been there a while. I think he even said that himself. So no point putting his hand up.
  10. So he's a restricted free-agent and I was just reading the AFL rules regarding that. We can match the offer and if he refuses to sign he must either seek a trade or enter the draft. I'm not 100% on the wording as it says national draft on one page and just draft on another. Can anyone confirm if he can choose the pre-season draft over the national draft?
  11. Let's hope they don't over analyse everything or go for the one who talks themselves up the best.
  12. I'm whole heartedly against the whole concept of boards. Most are board hoppers just there for the $. Their expertise is highly questionable in the areas they make decisions. Usually get their information from a single source who is a butt kisser. The set-up is outdated and dangerous to any organisation. Boards are the main reason issues don't get resolved or even brought up in a timely matter.
  13. May and Kentfield into the forward line this week. May to take the best key back which will help Kentfield, JVR and one of Howes/Turner/Adams (like to see how they all go up forward I'm sick of Petty being the only swingman).
  14. Yep will be box office entertainment 😬
  15. No we could of traded him after his first incidents or the year after that... Or if he was on a contract that had a bit more flexibility we could actually get something back if a club was interested.
  16. It's super risky. Oliver is classic example of the problems big, long-term contracts can bring. I wouldn't sign anyone more than 4 years. I'll just take the generous AFL compo if they walk.
  17. Has anyone heard of selling while market is high and not low. Fritsch puts a few good games together and demonland goes from he's pathetic to a must keep. Lever had major ankle surgery and was perhaps rushed and/or mismanaged with it. An injury free pre-season and he'll be back to his best. Fritsch has value now and it's either take that value or gamble he will perform consistently for the length of a full season. There are 3 players we could have traded for heaps. Trac, Oliver and Petty and now we would be lucky to get a first rounder from all 3.
  18. This is a piece of cake compared to the post-Daniher to pre-Roos eras.
  19. Can't say I know too much about this thread but has the option of sharing a schools ground and facilities an option or been talked about? A private school would have a decent setup and could be mutually beneficial.
  20. Ideally we want someone who's re-invented a list to challenge again quickly and Longmire is that guy. Bucks sounds keen but not totally sold on his record. Originally I wanted an assistant as it's in fashion and done well recently. Now logically Longmire definitely first for me but have my doubts he wants it. If not then I'm happy to back in whoever we get.
  21. I'm not sure about others but my gut feels both Oliver and Trac would prefer to go and would likely say that at exit interview or before. The conversations and decisions perhaps have already even been made. No reason to hardball them again and it's best for all to move seperate ways. Can't be healthy having them around the club with everyone knowing they want out. If we can get someone to pay half of Oliver's wage then he probably goes for close to nothing but we just have to move on from him for both on and off field reasons.
  22. I'm happy and surprised the clubs finally shown some balls and made the decision this early. Now we get the first crack at available potential replacements. Thanks Simon. You gave me the best Dees years of my life. It's just time for change.
  23. Rule is no more than 12 AFL games and no less than 6 VFL games for the season. So everyone at the moment is eligible you mentioned but Spargo has played 10 and if plays last 3 in AFL then he is the only one who could be ineligible.
  24. Yeah his inside 50 was the highlight of that quarter.
  25. Typical Dees. When dominant can not put up a score that reflects it. Should be 40 point up.
