2026 Injury List
You’re an enigma PF. JVR has shown way more than Jeffo, but somehow you defend him and make claims like this which are ludicrous. Make it make sense

2026 Injury List
Hahaha yeah I thought that was a weird way to put it. JVR has played over 50 games and Jeffo like 5

NON-MFC: 2026 Practice Matches Week 02
I think there’s still a place for them, but it’s more as a get and handball type player and you only need 1 or max 2. I think looking at 2026/27 the loss of Clarry won’t be felt at all as Steele is the perfect replacement and potentially could be better. I think the loss of Trac will hurt in the short term, but for what we got for him we will be better placed long term. We’ve already seen Latrelle and Taylor look like good young players. The most important players now are goal kicking mids (Kozzy and Langford up fit this mould). Trac is definitely one of those type of players, but his problem is he’s a poor kick especially from set shots.

NON-MFC: 2026 Practice Matches Week 02
I just can’t see Clarry ever getting back to his level around 2021/22. He will have some great games I’m sure, but I think he will be more of a B level player, maybe B+ moving forward.

Wade Derksen
I think it’s important to keep in mind Derksen is almost 25, whereas Adams turns 22 in May. Not saying Adams will make it, but will be interesting to see how he’s going at 25 (if he’s still on the list).

I’m pretty sure it was to try and get a presence in the growth area of Casey.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
Agreed. I actually think Kolt could be a really good lockdown defender on smalls/mediums a bit like a Starcevich.

Yep paid that fee also… love a handling fee to handle electronic tickets….

PREGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
Yeah you do. It’s $5 for members using the barcode or $20 for non members. If you’re a member you should’ve received an email a week or two ago with the barcode.

They can delay and push, but if Melbourne FC, local & vic government and Caulfield come to an agreement they can’t stop it. Anyway time will tell, I’ll remain cautiously optimistic until we hear otherwise. I also won’t panic about an article in a pro horse racing media group.

Not their land OD. I’m sure they obviously have some sway in meetings with the CRRT, but end of the day they will have the final decision, which will also include benefits to the Glen Eira community. Having a hugely upgraded public space would be a big draw card I would think.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Maybe next in line for the FIFA peace prize

GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
If we win it means a lot, if we lose it means nothing… that is the way preseason works

NON-MFC: 2026 Practice Matches Week 01
Saw his stats and he had 10 kicks and 20 handballs. Imagine that will be his role with minimal kicking given his below average kicking skills. I’m sure he will be a great cover for the loss of Green though

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Ahhh ok. It did feel very racing focused, so that makes sense. But yes, I hope our board are being practical with this given a home base is the most important thing we need to sort out. If we lose it due to small little changes etc then heads should roll. Re the tunnel, how about we get in there first and start building goodwill with everyone and then we can explore down the track even?
-
The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Good read, though I’m not sure what Betsy is? One thought on the tunnel, perhaps the answer is a type of electronic bridge that can automatically go up and down depending if racing is on. In 2026 surely that is an option?

Trac still can’t kick

Captains 2026
They said he will miss 3 months, so likely the second half of the season.

Captains 2026
Would’ve liked to see someone like Rivers get the VC role. But I’m sure he’s internal leader anyway

The Ruck Conundrum
Yeah agree. Plus the ruck tap in the middle is only one part of what a good ruck does. Getting involved around the ground is probably more important and we know Max is an elite mark and runner.

The Ruck Conundrum
It’s way too early to tell OD. He has really elite traits for a guy his size in agility and leap and also has really good skills for a 200cm+ player. He will have to develop his body and game obviously, but I wouldn’t be writing him off at this stage.
