  1. Only 1 game in Melbourne, but was never in doubt it would be Collingwood.
  2. I’m doing my bit.. coming up from Ballarat for my 3rd games this year. Bringing the wife (who hates football) 2 kids (who hate football) and my wife’s best friend from Sydney who has never seen football… should be a good day. Best thing about birthdays is people have to say yes….
  3. This is why it shouldn’t be outcome based. Koz got weeks for a bump on Moore who was subbed off with Concussion, but was fine 5 minutes after the game.
  4. Turner on current form is better than Lever in that role. Will depend on how they play Turner and where. Lever is still valuable, but his ankles have crippled his footy.
  5. SPC replied to Dingo's topic in Melbourne Demons
    Pretty funny man Bobby Hill
  6. Do we know the extent of Lindsay’s injury?
  7. Turner could be our best footballer
  8. Brisbane in patches looked the best team we had played in years
  9. My only skill is ducking my head. I’m 4ft 8. Feel like we already have my type
  10. Spargo….. My dream of playing AFL is still alive
  11. This weeks selection- Out- Jeffo, JVR, Fritter and Spargo In- Howes or Kentfield, Melky, Petty and Doggy Brown. Petty and Turner to dominate forward, Melky to keep Harris Andrews quiet. Doggy Brown to Zorko.
  12. When was the last time we were longest odds for the round?
  13. One could argue we have the worst assistant coaches in the league. Choco needs the arze based on his role and lack of results.
  14. Did the AFL come out and admit that the Kosi goal was missed? Normally with the amount of media spotlight on it, and if it happened to a big Melbourne club they would comment.
  15. The AFL would admit that the umpire missed the call, if he gets a tripping report. The AFL would rather make 2 bad decisions, than admit an error and accept accountability. They are too busy telling us how good the umpiring is.
  16. Having played in footy sides with a strong midfield/defence that cannot convert opportunities- it is the most confidence draining thing. You actually reach a point where you have less care for forward entries as you wonder whether the ball will just rebound back out. I understand we are a defence first team and build from defence, but is it time to prioritise the players ahead of the ball, ahead of the back 6? With this in mind, Turner and Petty should remain as the 2 key forwards. If we have any injuries down back, we replace them via the VFL. We seem to hold Turner in defence, and he is a break glass player. I feel the forwardline has always been the lowest priority- ‘if we get enough inside 50s, we will kick a winning score’. Efficiency and conversion are the key to winning. They are the key to confidence.
  17. Jeffo to never play again! JVR to backman duties and Disco to FF
  18. Time to turn JVR into the greatest backman of the modern era
  19. The 3/4 Demons
  20. Jeffo sub out and Kolt on. Need to move Disco to CHF
  21. Highly doubt this level of sophistication exists. They are just a couple of blokes with huge egos that need to feel relevant. No one talks to them as they can’t be trusted, so they often float stories out there. For what it’s worth, I think Clarry might benefit from a change of employer. Geelong might be an environment that suits as it’s close knit and away from his current friend groups.
  22. We looked better without him last night. But will be a balancing act to try and push his trade value up for the rest of the year.
  23. Said that despite all the work with the club is keen to look elsewhere next year
  24. Tom Morris just said on 9 news Clarry is looking to leave at years end. Could be a great result if we can get something decent. We appear to have ready replacements and Clarry will benefit from the change.
  25. The next 8 weeks is operation ‘give Essendon- stuff all’ where we turn their pick 4 to pick 18.
