I’d play him everywhere

I thought in parts he was okay. Certainly lost a bit of confidence. My biggest watch is our backline makeup, and maybe this is a week by week scenario, subject to opposition. But Lever and Hore play a similar role. Howes is also quite tall and Rivers can play taller. No answers from me, but curious to see how this transpires during the year.

While Tommo is stiff, he still makes me nervous with the highball and ground ball. So does TMAC but probably a lesser extent. My thoughts on our back 6 is that we have too many interceptors and not enough defender's. Lever needs to be more like May and lock down first. Lever was so poor last week. Most backlines play taller, so maybe we bring in Hore for Tommo and Salem goes back for Bowzer. Picket to play 50/50 Mid as will Tracc and Clarry to find his touch.

Lever just horrible tonight.

They have a good ruckman and JJ is no mug. I think the whole game will be really even, we have strengths where they don’t and vice versa. Can see it being decided by a kick… late.

While not getting carried away, we have added pace, class and skills with our younger brigade. Glad we are not just a team of inside mids.

Carlton have a lot of players who do not run defensively, look for cheap kicks on turnover. Glad they brought in Fantasia

Tmac or Tommo?

Most musicians say they’d rather be a one hit wonder than a cover band..

Loved him as a player and a bloke. Certainly made the right decision for his future, which looks really bright post football. What will this mean for a list spot?

I thought we looked pretty average. There was certainly a more aggressive mindset and our defence suffered. Don’t think I can remember having so many opponents getting free out the back like today. The media are probably right about us, we are intriguing this year. Not sure what we will offer.

Gee some flaky defending. Howes looks a very easy player to hassle out of the contest.

I predict we lose round 1.. watch the media pile on then.. not sure where we end up at the end of year. Way too complicated and too many outside factors. But we have potential and track record of strong performances, what luck we get, we will see.
