So we play on 8% more times than the Pies who are 2nd. not massive is it? 1 more time out of 12 instances Funny how game plans look terrible when the core group is young and there is a critical mass of injuries. Look at GWS and the Pies. many years with quality young teams - looked to have no game plan and missed finals. the pies at least. then their core group of players are all 24yo + and they don't have half their team out and they look great. my point is I reckon we need to give Goody the chance to define his own style. it worked amazingly last year when we were the highest scoring team. give him time to refine the plan with at least 70% of his team available. hopefully he is a genius who is working towards leading the next big trend in footy rather than trying to catch up with the current one

Scott seems like decent coach but overrated club management imo. 9 years to draft and trade with only a handful of players to show for it. Although two prelims they never finished top 4. I get the point if not bottoming out but what is the point if you never really think you can win a flag??

I’d say when the doctor says he is fit to play and no heightened risk of reinjury. With a collarbone pretty easy to know when. Bones in the foot and stress fractures are a different story. Always some guesswork involved as doesn’t always show up on scans

Interesting points Nasher. But I don't think there are that many non-negotiables. People make skill errors/miss shots/drop marks and that can be forgiven up to a point. But not putting your body on the line for the team and not helping your team mates even if only done once or twice affects the whole team. and if that someone continues to get picked, the standards can drop amongst the whole side. I am not saying that is what Jeff has done, just talking generally.
