Melksham is rubbish so no real loss for them. I actually wanted to pick him up in the draft back in the day. after 100 games he hasnt come on. still getting 16 touches, not clever, skills not great Fark we cant lose this can we? I think I read somewhere that JKH is likely to play VFL. I would bring in Hogan and Garland for Spencer and Riley. Gawn has shown he can run a game out better than he could last year. Dawes can give him a break and Howey can go 3rd man up Nic Nat will probably win the taps anyway so Id prefer not to have 2 inefffectual rucks out there

nah i just reckon if you empower power to make their own decisions that can have a good effect. if you have too many rules and treat the group like cattle - they will behave like sheep. eg, the essendon players not even questioning all those injections! (off topic i know) people will still mess up and make mistakes. come down hard on them rather than covering it up. then people should learn from that

AFL is far too strict which leads to people breaking out (IMO). its got to the point where you can't even have one drink (but you'd be OK to drive a car). something has to give for these young men and right now the easiest way to break loose/blow off steam is to take drugs as they are covered by the "integrity" unit. so drinking is down and illicit drug us it up! nice one! when they start treating players like adults they might start behaving like them

we've won 4, then 2 then 4 games for ther past 3 seasons and you expect to have more members this year? on the back of draft picks? we've had them every year! the casual fans/supporters will sign up when its we are better and a chance not to lose 80% of the time this time next year when we are sitting at 8-4 (Hogan having kicked 40 and Brayshaw the fav for the brownlow), we will have cracked 40K for sure. until then.... eh...we can just dream

Roos reckons Garland and has been probably our most consistent player this year and people are still happy to see him gone? wtf I think some of you are trying to brace yourself for the dissapointment of him leaving but I personally think he will stay and really want him to stay. Garland offers a versatility that others cannot provide (eg Frost) so when we play a team with a small fwd line, we can cope. he can tag when needed, eg help out on ablett. Offers good rebound and uses the ball well. I believe he will really flourish further as we improve. He is a team man through and through. even played at CHF for half a year when asked and did ok And not every player needs to be a leader, some are not born to do it. you need some leaders and some solid contributors and he is certainly the latter. (needed to get that off my chest)

We have a big advantage on a lot of teams. We have an easy draw overall. How would you like Hawthorns draw? play the top teams twice? they are giving a easy draw year after year in the hope we will improve but we never come to the party. If the AFL ever move to a 17 round comp, the different between Hawks/Swans and us will be even more stark.

Howe has been a massive disappointment this year. In his prime we needed him to step and he's gone missing. One or two decent games and some absolute shockers. No doubt he would have been dropped had we any depth. I had thought he would play through the middle and on the wing by now. A first round pick for Howe? My god you'd jump at that! worth a second rounder at best but I guess he is probably our only over-rated player in the media/footy circles The thing that has changed is that I dont really care if he leaves or not. Based on his no-effort games this year

Bartel, Clark, Duncan, Horlin-Smith, Kelly, Macintosh, Menzel, Smedts, simpson, vardy, stanley they are just as bad as us if not worse. Surprise us for once Dees, win this

Fantasy points wise the top 4 in order are: Jones Cross Vince TMac then a big gap, and next 3 are Hogan, Brayshaw, Vanders take the points with a grain of salt if you wish. if you dont know - they are combination of stats, disposals, tackles, pressure acts, inside fifties etc Cross's consistency of performance is often overlooked.

It is no doubt having an effect but its not like we have any of our top players out like other teams do. What if TMac, Jones, Vince, Hogan were out? Jamar was dropped probably wont play again. JT dropped, JKH was dropped, Dawes quite possibly would have been dropped if not injured. Salem, Kent, Garland (and previously Viney) hurt but we should be able to cover fark im sick of us being this bad!! almost a decade of this shite! The saints were tipped for last place and 1-2 wins and are better than us already. I cant wait until pre-season.
