POSTGAME: Rd17 vs Bulldogs
Weed would be copping it on here if he put a one mark game like Pruess did under the roof. Maybe we are seeing why Pruess hasn’t been selected earlier. A work in progress.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Dogs are in decent form but are nothing to be scared of. They lost to Carlton and the suns this year and have 7 wins to our 5. Our defence and midfield could get on top if we are switched on. Close tagging of the Bont is crucial including a plan when he goes fwd. It will be low scoring. frustrating game to watch unless we lower our eyes and hit up the mid sized fwds. bugger it, I reckon we will win.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
I agree regarding Ablett. He could have gone down as the greatest player ever and won 2 more flags at the Cats potentially. He started amazingly but those last 2-3 years at GC he was as soft as butter, kept his body right for the return to Geelong and still retained the captaincy. He would surely regret leaving the cats. at his peak he would have been on close to a mil/per year at cats after their stars retired. not enough Gaz? Tarnished his reputation for sure GC have almost no chance of ever being a decent side.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
Far out Cameron, the 18yo brother of Charlie was picked at 39 as part of the WC academy. how the hell did he not go first round, did no one bid on him? seems like a top 5 talent to me. We are so far behind WC's fwd line it is not funny. I agree Pennent, we need to work on a NT academy.

Training - Tuesday 9 July, 2019
In the years to comes I expect this will change. I would treat the first couple of concussions for a young player very conservatively and not wait for subsequent ones, even if symptoms resolved. Shaun smith thinks it’s insane any player would play the week after a concussion

Surely concussions that are bad enough to not play out the game mean you have zero chance of playing the following week.

On SEN Today the following question was raised
you mean while a group of supporters have been jumping up and down whinging saying Goody has no idea, there has been a specific plan in place to benefit Preuss and the team all along?!? you dont say! Preuss looked so much better on sunday then he did in NAB and early days.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Hawks, Pies and Tigers are very supportive of GC getting the number 1 pick and would like to be consulted on who they pick so they can plan ahead for trading them in in 3 years time

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Frost is finally playing some consistent footy so please leave him down back. he is a great athlete but not the most natural footballer. so the least amount of decision making the better. win ball and run that way - works. the wing or up fwd does not work if we were to try anyone up fwd it would be May but I would leave him back also. Weed, Smith, Trac, Preuss is plenty

The Incremental Bang Theory...
When he lined up for goal after kicking 2 nice goals I thought in my head "B-b-b-b-break-out Game??" then he somehow missed the goal and I came back to earth. I do agree however that is playing well and is improving all the time. he just needs to add some mental grit and confidence to believe he could be anything. he can kick goals from 55, take big grabs, break tackles. if his mental side of his game improves he will stay in games for longer and be a A grader Love ya Tracca

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
for sure! win the next 7 and we are in the 8. in all seriousness i reckon we will win 3 and finish on 8 wins. add some respectability to our season. would be great to knock off Pies or tiges at the G!

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 16
interesting to see a lot of folks not having Frost in their 6. i have been a big critic of his over the years but he was easily in our best 6 imo. 10 marks, 4 contested marks, 18 disposals, 4 score involvements. although there were 3 maybe 4 clangers I think the good outweighed the bad. some of his brave marking at the back and intercepts were amazing

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
Saw the Lewis bump again. Late got him flush in the head. Probably low impact but it was intentional. Think that might be a week still but not expert in all the BS rules

POSTGAME: Rd16 vs Carlton
I posted during the second quarter we would lead by 40 and end up winning by 7. Its sad we are so predictable. We have injuries but we should have been 60 up easily and not let them back in maybe I’ve been a melb supporter too long! but thank Christ we won. Was good to see Oliver and Viney lift when the whips were cracking
