Re Kent, it may have been a case that given his and AVB’s history of injuries we couldn’t afford to carry both. Perhaps we were willing to let AVB go to the Swans up until Kent took the offer from the Saints, who knows. As previously posted, the offer was three years versus ours of one. Kent has a young family so can’t blame the guy. AVB is a ripper when fit, I hope he gets back on the park next season.

No need to rush in Preuss whilst he learns from Max has practices his craft and gains confidence in the VFL. I reckon we’re going to try and prolong Max’s career for as long as possible and from next season we’ll see more of Preuss playing alongside Max.

Did Brown cop a fine for staging earlier on in the season vs Adelaide? If he didn’t, no player will ever receive a fine again for staging.

The only thing I could think of was “umpire abuse” following the reversal. I haven’t watched the replay so I’m unsure if the reversal and 50m were paid at the same time. If there was a break between the reversal and the 50m penalty, the above may explain it??

Garland announced his retirement after missing 2017 with a knee injury and would have turned 30 early the following season. OMac is currently 23 and isn’t fighting his way back into the side following a severe knee injury. I think the cases are too different to draw the same conclusion.
