Not at any decent level but trained hard to join defence, at 25 I injured by back pretty bad on deployment and couldn’t do what I was doing anymore. A decade later it’s still buggered and having another round of major surgery in a couple of months. Pretty rough not being able to do what you trained hard for and loved. I could probably be more empathetic I suppose.

I looked up their heights and was surprised to read that Fritsch is 4cm taller than Green. He looks much shorter out on the ground.

Given the year we’ve had and our history I imagine our offer would have to be far superior to Geelong’s. Given Bennell’s history it’s hard to imagine any team paying much.

Just a gut feel or something you’ve been informed? Players normally end up where they want to go, at $1.5mil for two years, he’s going to end up at Carlton. Anyone who hopes differently is going to be disappointed.

11 years between posts, that has to be some sort of record?! I also thought it was a massive risk when the situation was initially reported, I did some thinking and now think it’s a relatively low risk, there’s 44 players on a list and we’ve already delisted a number of injury prone ones. I’m happy we’re looking at doing something un-Melbourne like.

A mate of mine goes for Port and he told me yesterday that ‘Basil’ was going to be delisted by them today. Extraordinary.
