Yes. Big man with a nasty foot fracture as I said on another forum today before the club announcement. I'd be surprised if he's back in the AFL this year. If ever.

Big guy with nasty fracture in foot. Not for a long time

We have difficulty against opposition with tall players, especially forwards. E.g. Richmond, Hawthorn, North. We were lucky against Essendon that on that particular day Daniher couldn't hit the side of a barn door. If he was on song it could have been a very different story. The game against Adelaide is looking more like an aberration. However they missed quite a few goals too.
-
One of the leaders was busy kicking the ball to opposition players.
-
Like Daniher? Everyone can have an off week at kicking goals! He was great agaisnt Adelaide. Give him a break! At least he had several shots on goal which is more than we can say about many of our forwards.

Weed to the weights room.

BS

Strange how we had numbers at the fall of the ball, extreme tackling pressure and high level skills last week. Where were they this week? What was the game plan when north went coast to coast up the southern side over and over again? Why were our players asleep in the first quarter? Take the pay packet and shove it this week guys. You were pathetic, weak and hopeless.

He was right

But "making finals" is irrelevant if we can't follow through and win the big one,
-
Today was not winnable.

I suggest you all watch the replay and watch how many times Jones bombs the ball without looking or handballs to the opposition. Turnover king. Lost us the game. Lower your eyes Jones, pick out a player on our side who is alone and transmit the ball to him by hand or foot.

We need to recruit several bigger, taller, faster, more skilled players. We have been recruiting skinny, slow, small players for 20 years.
-
Appalling skills, constant turnovers, esp jones. North taller, faster, bigger- bodied as always.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 9

That was the preliminary final you're talking about, not the "first" final that monoccular was referring to. -
That's totally irrelevant. One can comment on footy or anything else in life without being an expert in doing whatever it is.

Time for Angus to hang up the boots before he damages his brain any further.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8

It's beginning to look like Trengove was only signed to make the club look magnanimous and to not make the culture even worse by dumping a much- loved son. He doesn't appear likely to be picked regardless of his good service at VfL level. -

Maybe, but what will happen if we make finals? This team is so mentally weak it will be bundled out very quickly. -

It's already over for mfc. Finish at ladder position 11--13 likely. -

That's not footy tipping. It's blind faith. -
Important good and potentially good players out at present: Gawn, Vandenberg, Brayshaw, Spencer, Melksham, Joel Smith, Tim Smith. Doubtful if Vandenberg will play again this year, with a fractured calcaneum. Garland is now a list clogger, in my view.
-
Hopefully soon we'll win some of these!!!!!!!

Jones kept kicking it directly to the opposition. He was atrocious early.

It's time for some tall strong men.
