It's easy for me to make these comments and I couldn't run 5 metres on a day like today. There was so much to like from this game and all will benefit from the run. It's a Mickey Mouse practice match and the coaches are trialling a lot of players and tactics. Like many others I see no reason to panic just yet. We won't be playing every week in conditions which would kill a pig either. Overall, it was a good effort.

Tony Jones is a Collingwood fan after all, so naturally we'll be served up pro Collingwood dross from channel 9. They did lose by 4 goals, so of course the main focus is on them.

Don't remember the year or the round but I remember the opponent and the capitulation. It was vs Essendon. We led by almost 8 goals at 3/4 time. We kicked the first goal of the final quarter at the 6 minute mark to get the lead out to 51 points. I was rubbing my little hands together thinking "We've got this one in the bag". Then they kicked 10 goals or so with ease to win the game going away. That was a horrible experience watching all those happy Bummer fans after their team came back from the dead to snatch the victory.

I, like doubtless many others, decided that the best practical way we could support the club was to take up the MCC/MFC membership which I've done for over 10 years. We will continue to do it til hell freezes over and whether we get any type of incentive doesn't enter into our thinking. I couldn't care less but I love the club and will continue to do it. Come on MCC members. Get on board !!!!
