The No T$ No B$ Thread
Is this the appropriate thread to make a suggestion on a Latin motto for the club after Saturdays belting of the Crows under lights at Adelaide oval. The Saints have " Fortius quo fidelis" , Carlton, " Men's sana in corpore sana " What about " Lucent en tenebris" for us. If I am not very much mistaken, it translates to " They shine in the dark"

The No T$ No B$ Thread
I was informed by some self important little functionary in the second quarter of the Saints v Dees, when I asked for the air conditioning to be turned on as I was just about to collapse with heat apoplexy in the second quarter, that there was no such thing at Etihad. She ushered me into the St John Ambulance area where it was a fraction cooler at least. I expected to be revived by a gin and tonic taken orally. All I was offered was water. Appalling !!!!!!! No wonder we don't like Etihad !!!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
A couple of Hibberd kicks yesterday looked a bit wonky but I can tell you the Bomber blitzers would rather still have him. He is a major get for us make no mistake.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
I realise now that my support for Collingwood was un ethical, un conscionable and un acceptable. I withdraw it and apologise to all.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
I am at the crossroads coming up to this match. In the normal course of events, I dont want either team to win. To even up the ledger, I am obliged to hope for a Collingwood victory and hope for the pies to hit Essendon with everything. Reluctantly, go Pies !!!!

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
I think Petracca went to Whitefriars although he wouldn't have been out of place at Marcellin.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
And I thought no one outside Marcellin would have heard of him.... !!!!!! ps...... we'd prefer not to mention Gangitano, never one of the best half back flankers we've ever had !!!

and Montagna for that matter. Another product of that font of Italian stars , Marcellin, which also produced Marco Bresciano and Franco Di Pavacqua.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Roos would have been rapt to get Heeney but our bid on Heeney was an ambit claim and Roos knew that the swans were always going to match the bid. Our interest was in Petracca in that draft.

Biggest rivalry?
Which hasn't happened in the last three games !!! After the latest of those three, I said to my Collingwood supporting students " Welcome to the era of Collingwood never beating Melbourne ever again. " Have I gone too early on that prediction ?? Hope not !

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
There is no evidence that the Eagles did anything wrong. The players all said everything was okay. What more proof do you want than that ???

Well, people. This is the lucky numbered page of this thread for our Chinese friends ( no. 888 ). We can expect a rash of posts from Chinese demonlanders who want their pearls of wisdom to appear here. Apropos of rashes and China, it reminds me of one I picked up in Hong Kong a few years ago...... but that's a story for another time.

I have just arrived at the home of the big banana, Coffs Harbour, a cultural wasteland if I'm any judge. Melbourne supporters would be thin on the ground in these here parts. The average IQ has jumped since my arrival. I must say in it's favour that it's a thrill to know that the bananas in the supermarket have only travelled 3 kilometres to get there. Also the banana trees appear very lush and healthy indeed.

Interesting info about the history of Tasmania, thanks demonlanders. You learn something every day! I can't recall too much about Australian history from school. The only thing I remember is that Matthew Flinders sailed down the east coast from Sydney. He entered Port Phillip bay through the heads and went on to mount Martha. That surprised me because I had thought Martha had stayed home in England.
