  1. We are now seeing why Mahoney is the only person remaining from the previous administration. I can see what he has done but I'm not sure how he has done it. Well done JM and team. I am excited about our team for next year. Go dees Edit: The Mahoney first statement is wrong.
  2. OK Mahoney haters, eat some pie.
  3. We won't trade picks No.3, No.10: MahoneyI like it when he lies.
  4. GWS now have pick 7 - Treloar Edit: - Trying to work out what that means to us.
  5. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-10-21/indicative-draft-order-your-clubs-provisional-picks-as-trade-period-unfolds Edit : sorry first link was a dud
  6. Thanks MC that makes sense.
  7. If the AFL have poorly worded it I think my suggestion could be tried. Edit: Anyhow we will will the flag and it will be pick 18 anyway. Go Dees.
  8. In gaining these selections, the Demons handed the Suns picks No.6, No.29 and a future first round draft selection. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-10-21/dees-secure-picks-no3-and-no10 How is it clearly incorrect? Edit: I may be wrong but I have not read anything that states that the future trades must be the first round selection.
  9. Nash most are missing what we have offered for next year. A 1st round pick That is not necessarily our original 1st round pick. If we finished last we could swap pick 1 for pick 4 & pick 18 with 18 being used for GC
  10. Note; A future 1st round selection. I presume that could be pick 18 which we could trade for if we don't earn it. Well done Mahoney and the MFC
  11. I think the whole point of a trade period is to swap out players and to bring in players that are better suited to the sides needs. If sides come away from the trade period with huge wins that means that others have had huge losses. The concept of fair trade allows for win win. Sometimes you may get a bargain. So has our list improved? I would argue it is not worse and it has a harder edge, that may have been the aim, so that is a win. We have not made any clanger trades IMO and we still have good draft picks. No big fish, OK maybe next year, maybe never.
  12. Everyone has gone quiet on the details.
  13. Come on robbo I have read that in two or three other places. You do not own the idea. It is possible for multiple people to come up with the same idea and to be capable of independent thought.
  14. Plough a Melbourne supporter, go figure. Still love Grinters adjustments.
  15. The players that have left the club go belly up and cop a plea.
  16. We are still pushing for a GC deal with Howe. Edit: According to trade radio.
  17. Half of them get 12 months.
  18. 10.38am: HAWKS COACH NOT EXPECTING CARLISLE TRADE After Hawthorn made a remarkable bid to land to Jake Carlisle after several days of fruitless talks between Essendon and St Kilda, the key position player's future continues to remain up in the air. While the Bombers said on Thursday afternoon they were committed to the Hawks' offer if they could get it over the line, four-time premiership coach Alastair Clarkson isn't expecting to have Carlisle on his books in 2016. Clarkson, who - as one of three of Australia's coaches - announced the International Rules squad on Friday, said he still expected Carlisle to get to the Saints. Edit:- WTF is going on?
  19. I am sure plans B C D E F all exist. One of the more important aspects in battle planning is don't tell the media or your opponent what your plans are. Would anyone here feel better if Mahoney came out before trade week and told everyone what our plans really were? Imagine playing cards and telling your opponents what you wanted to do and what cards you had, seriously. No news is good news.
  20. You both could be wrong.
  21. If he goes to the ND, what pick would Collingwood use on him? They won't use 7 26? Would we accept 26 for him? If so do a deal and try to get steak knives. Would he get to 26? That is the question Collingwood would be asking themselves.
  22. 4.35pm: LEUENBERGER LANDS AT ESSENDON The Brisbane Lions haven't stood in the way of Matthew Leuenberger's move to Tullamarine, despite their disappointment with pick 39 as compensation for the restricted free agent. Leuenberger has joined the Dons on a three-year deal.
