Round 22 Non MFC Games
As the live ladder stands, Bulldogs, Adelaide, Hawks & Port are all tied on 10 wins, meaning whoever wins + finishes with a higher percentage next week gets the 8th and final place in the finals. Bulldogs play the Crows next week, Hawks play the Eagles, and Port finish the round vs Fremantle at AO. Currently, less than 2% separates all 4 teams. Going to be an epic final round, even if we're not part of it.

Round 22 Non MFC Games
Two blatant deliberates against Richmond went ignored in the dying minutes. Not that I mind them winning given the state of the ladder, but still.

Round 22 Non MFC Games
Two years ago, every conceivable result conspired against us to ensure we missed finals. This year, every conceivable result has conspired to ensure Essendon make the finals. [censored] get me the vomit bag.

Round 22 Non MFC Games
The peahearts wearing our jumper last night could learn a thing or two about pride watching Saints and Blues players in that game. Nothing to play for except respect and neither team gave an inch, all the way to the final siren. Will our club ever show this much ticker?

Round 18 Non MFC Games
Agreed. 15 behinds to 3 says to me that Brisbane basically dominated the scoring, just weren't accurate. The right team won on the day. And I've read about this BS Ben Brown free kick which is completely unsurprising, considering his habit of playing for free kicks. So as you said, they essentially cancel each other out.

Round 18 Non MFC Games
Just imagine how much more exciting that final minute would have been if Brisbane weren't gifted that goal with 1:10 left on the clock. Godawful free kick, one of the worst you'll see all year. Not that I'm unhappy Brisbane won, but it would have been so much sweeter without the blatant umpire interference.

Richo should probably start updating his resume, methinks.

LOL, and the final kick just perfectly surmises this dumpster fire of a season. Are our players actually learning anything?

Hahahahaha. This team is an embarrassment.

Bryce Gibbs
Definitely not just Gibbs but I don't believe the others were Carlton affiliated. Put simply, there's just certain groups you don't want your club involved with. Completely unrelated to the whole Bugg situation too, so I think Carlton's current woes are just a result of ... well, Carlton being Carlton.
-
Bryce Gibbs
Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Off-field issues no club wants to inherit. Adelaide have learned the hard way. They gave up two first rounders in exchange for him + a second rounder. If they could have their time over again, they would.

Pathetic.

Non MFC games Round 2
Feel horrible for Cynthia, my deepest sympathies. No one deserves to be ridiculed on national television, least of all an amputee who has already suffered so much. Just another example of white male privilege in an industry dominated by the elite boys club. Pathetic stuff. As usual it'll be slept under the rug and ultimately ignored, with the instigator ultimately rewarded with a pay rise and bigger exposure.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Late to the party here but apparently we would've done the deal for 5 and 23. What in the hell?! What happened to our price of two first rounders?? Contracted, a generational key forward tracking better than superstar key forwards of the past, plus 5 years of development under his belt. And we were happy with 5 and 23...? In an era where Bryce Gibbs and Adam Treloar are worth two first rounders. Cannot believe how quickly we folded on his currency and bloody relieved the situation fell apart and he's staying put. No way should you trade a player like Hogan unless you get value in return. I'm all for "fair trades" but that's just getting bent over for the highest tradeable commodity on our list.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
But Gold Coast could well end up with band 1 compo if he leaves next year which, let's face it, is going to be another pick inside the top 5. The AFL will ensure they're looked after, the club is a basketcase when it comes to player retention. I doubt they (GC) would be too upset with that outcome next year. Slightly different story for free agents leaving high-placing clubs, because the FA compo is so much less and a trade one year early can yield better currency.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not in a million years would I trade pick 5 for Steven May. Jesus! What a disastrous outcome that would be. I'd rather take a punt in the draft with talent that high, at least you'll get a decade longer out of them!
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
The reason Freo are playing hardball is because they know they can't easily get Lobb and Hogan without giving up everything in the first round. GWS will want one of their first few picks as well, we will obviously want two. There seems to be a concerted effort in the media to create the impression Hogan is only worth one first rounder. Wonder why!
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not sure I understand why anyone would prefer WC went after Hogan. Am I missing something? Their first draft pick is 18 or 19 after FA compo for Lynch. Fremantle could have 4 and 6! It'd be 10x worse than when Howe [censored] us over by choosing Collingwood over Gold Coast, a trade we ended up bent over a barrel (boy the Pies must be laughing now).

Darcy's a clueless moron. He wouldn't know [censored] from clay if it landed in his mouth.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
The entire team was horrible. Yeah, Lewis had a shocker but he was excellent in the last two weeks. Overreaction.
