  1. Looking bloody ominous early. No composure at all. Fumbles and slipping. Aghhh.
  2. Two goals against thanks to avoidable turnovers in the middle. Need more composure Dees.
  3. For once in your life Bruce, I really hope you're on the money!
  4. Oh God I feel sick right now. The next 3.5 hours is going to be torturous! I can't even describe the emotions I've gone through over the last fortnight but I can't imagine the type of elation I'll feeling if we get the job done. Really hope they go after Darling hard early. He went soft as butter in the GF a few years ago once the pressure was applied by Hawthorn. Practically shat his sacks when the going got tough. If we can get their 'Twin Towers' off balance early, it could throw their entire team into disarray. Big job ahead of the boys but whatever happens, so long as they give their all, I'll be a very proud Dee tonight.
  5. This is bang on! You nailed the evolution of my thought process over the last month. ?
  6. I'd be lying if I said that didn't make me tear up. Thanks Roosy, you're a huge part of the reason we're here today.
  7. The AFL would be salivating at the prospect of a Collingwood v Melbourne Grand Final. The first showdown between both clubs in a Grand Final since Melbourne's last premiership 5 decades ago! Nothing would be more fitting. There's such rich history between the clubs (both as rivals and of themselves) and fantastic stories across the entire ground. The two best rucks all year going head to head. Howe playing against his first team. Weideman playing against his heritage. It would also be the first all-Victorian Grand Final in 7 years and only the 5th time that's happened since our last Grand Final appearance. Alas, all the dreaming is for nought if we can't get the job done today. The Demons have their destiny in their hands, it's up to them now.
  8. The Eagles will be absolutely flogged next week by Collingwood if we lose tomorrow. Their form tonight was electric (sadly).
  9. Maybe it's best I stay at home for this one. At the final siren I'll be crying inconsolably regardless of the outcome! ?
  10. I have no idea what to expect really. I went into both previous finals thinking we would fight hard but struggle to overcome the opposition's experience. After watching our resolve thus far, I can't help but feel confident about tomorrow's outcome, despite the odds stacked against us. There's been a recurring theme of storytelling trilogies since Goodwin took charge, culminating in the last two weeks. After two heartbreaking losses against the Cats this year, we overcame them on our third attempt when it mattered most. After two losses against his old team since joining the Dees, Lewis finally beat them on his third attempt. If we win today, it marks our third consecutive win against the Eagles in Perth after 9 consecutive losses. It would mark our third consecutive finals win for the first time in 18 years. I know the fairytale endings don't always come true, but I'll be sending the team every ounce of positive energy I can tomorrow. So good luck, Demons. All we ask is you give it everything you've got; that'll be enough for this Dees supporter.
  11. No idea yet. I could watch at home by myself or go into Fed Square. I genuinely haven't made up my mind but I'm becoming more anxious as the match draws closer...
  12. Two years in a row a team in the bottom 6 has played in the following year's Grand Final. The fixture is a huge reason why. Same thing wouldn't happen if each team played the other 17 teams only once.
  13. Based on tonight's form, can't imagine any Dee who wouldn't have preferred paying Richmond next week. Either way, we still gotta get through the Eagles and that's a huge ask at Optus. Play the same game at the MCG and we'd smash em. Please get the job done Dees!!
  14. One game in the last 28 days. Interesting how flat they looked against a team coming off a six day break. Worse, they get 8 sleeps to recover before the GF.
  15. Collingwood will be praying for a West Coast win tomorrow. 16 clubs will be praying for a Dees win.
  16. Yes. Yes it does. And we all know it was the Ewoks who overcame the Stormtroopers in the end.
  17. Collingwood weren't playing like this earlier in the year.
  18. Basically this. Collingwood will absolutely obliterate the Eagles on the G next week if we lose tomorrow. The only reason that team is anywhere near the top 8 is their ridiculously biased home ground advantage, just like Geelong only making finals every year because of Kardinia Park. Give me a bucket! We truly are the comp's last hope.
  19. Sadly this is a distinct possibility. If they play like this next week, very few teams will be able to match it. I'm not sure we've played as impressively for a sustained period like Collingwood have tonight.
  20. Don't think it's just the Tigers that are coming, coming, coming in that commentary box!
  21. Tigers need to pull the finger out bloody quick!!!
  22. Richmond getting that goal would've been huge. Almost game on if this was under 30 points.
  23. Wasn't sold on Collingwood at all. Only one top 8 scalp all season and a very soft fixture care of finishing bottom 6. Didn't think beating a [censored] house GWS proved their credentials but embarrassing the best team in the comp has shown they are the real deal. Sadly.
  24. Confirmed: Bruce loves Sidebottom's leg.
  25. Why the hell didn't Caddy go for a set shot there?
