What is the total membership dollars extracted for each Club? We focus so much on the hard numbers of members without looking at the type of membership they are taking out. They are important but not the sole measure of membership Put another way, how many $50 paying members do other Clubs have compared to MFC? Also how many of the members are premium or coterie members? It interesting NM had 40+k last year after a can rattle and consecutive finals finishes. This year they are around 27k. MFC must ensure any membership growth in $ and numbers is enduring.

Whelan has struggled to be continually fit for the past three years and his influence on the ground has waned. His birth certificate says 29 but his body is older than that and the soft tissue injuries are mounting. I thought he would retire last year. I am certain he will this year. I dont think he is as big a loss now as last year. BTW, a mate saw him in the crowd after the MFC game hobbling awkwardly. Hardly fit.

I actually think Jones deserves the tag more than McLean. I suspect there are other issues with Brock. I can see Jones really benefitting from the development and guidance he has received thus far in the past 2 years. Hell the bloke is only 20yo!

They have won 2 to date. If they win only 2 more and the MFC win 4 or less games then the access to PPs will depend on ladder position of WCE and MFC. If the bottom three positions on the ladder were 14. WCE 4 wins 15. MFC 4 wins 16. Freo 3 wins then the draft would be.... Pick 1 - PP - MFC Pick 2 - PP - WCE Pick 3 - Freo Pick 4 - MFC Pick 5 - WCE Freo would get a 2nd round PP at pick 19.

You easily conned WYL. MFC are still in the black forest. Have a look at Freo and work why the AFL really rate Cameron Schwab. He has made that Club financially strong with a solid supporter and sponsor base in a two horse town. He is at early days at MFC and there is a long long way to go for MFC. No basis for bragging rights there. But Freo footy dept and theme song are deplorable.

I think you are mistaken if Green has any on field fear. If you have it in AFL its terminal to your career. There others on the MFC list you should be worried about.

In AFL football you live or die as a footballer on the quality of your first efforts. His 2nd or 3rd efforts dont hide the deficiency of some of the first efforts.

A little tip Mono..... German is the coach and you would expect him to talk up all players in a public environment. I recall Chopper Lovell giving really positive summaries on Isaac Weetra and Meesen at a time when neither were able to show even a modicum of form or talent. Get the drift?
