  1. Just like everyone else who claims they're 100% accurate and they are the facts. At the moment your comments are unsubstantiated and are as valid as a rumour until substantiated. That is a fact.
  2. If there is a Friday night game against WB, chances are it will be at the Darklands and not the MCG. At the moment any information on fixturing is merely flaky speculation, rumour and poster wishlists. I'd wait for the facts on this
  3. Has any poster ever told you "You crap on"?
  4. Agree. I think this is most stress free draft I can think of. We have picks 1 and 2 and its seems fairly clear there are two players in front of the others even if marginally. They will be in Demon colours next year. I am more interested in picks 11,18 and 34 where the uncertainty
  5. Exactly North did what North were planning to do for the past couple of weeks. They had little chance of creating Jaded's alleged outcome. They would have had to rely on outcomes with Freo and MFC that they could not possibly control
  6. The week before North had Carlton on the rocks in the last quarter and had the majority of the play and three times the number of inside 50s. The players could not convert the opportunities. NM kicked 0.9 (and a couple out on the full) while Carlton kicked 2.3. Crocker was honestly devastated by the failure to convert in the last quarter. They had Carlton on toast and he had coached to win that day. If they were seriously chasing the 2nd pick there is no way they would have played to win against Carlton. They were never pursuing the pick 2 option coming into the game against us. If you had look at the draw and the position, NM had as much chance of concocting 2nd pick at the end of Rd 18 as pushing a camel through the eye of a needle.
  7. I know for fact that North wanted to win the match. Their coach at the time Darren Crocker was coaching for his future and was definitely focussed on a win. Not that it did he much good in the end. They were not playing for a draft position. And their subsequent upset win over the Saints only proves the point.
  8. MacIntosh this year particularly when he was allowed to drift into the F50 and take uncontested marks.
  9. In the past three years do you think MFC have had a serious issue with all teams? Hmmm. We have won 18% of our matches during that time. We have been one of worst sides I have seen. And NM are low on talent! In the same period they have won more than 50% of their matches and finished 4th, 7th and 13th in that time. They have done so with few stars but a number of low profile players who perform consistently (eg Petrie). Our lines of progress may cross in the future but they like all other sides have been clearly better than MFC. Its not a case of one team having the wood on us. Its the whole competition.
  10. Why not? FWIW, Red Fox is a very good read to give a history of the great man and MFC. Its also a good snapshot of inner suburban Melbourne during much of the last century. If you dont want to buy it...its sure to be on the list at your local library. A good read.
  11. Great effort indeed. Better than some of the official stuff. However one beef.....Champions 1964...highlights our achilles heel rather openly and is sure to make the wearer the butt of opposition jokes. Its a bit like Freo having a supporter hoodie with "Finalists [Year ] in big bold purple letters on the front
  12. Sorry Bradshaw doesn't answer those questions at all. Try again.
  13. Come on BS answer the question...who is he keeping out of the side? There are signinficant reasons why MFC have been a bottom dweller. Miller is not one of the major reasons. Why bother? They have made a decision on him. He is not good enough. He was at traiing because he was still contracted to October 31 as a player/employee of the Club.
  14. For everyone one jewel of wisdom you claim, there is another truckload of stupidity and ignorance to balance it out.
  15. Z comes after V. Does it really matter? Neither were good enough.
  16. I thought the identity of Melbourne belongs to Melbourne... period. If you go overseas, if you say that you support the Melbourne Football Club, they will look smile, shrug their shoulder and say "so what?". Travelled much. Agree with that. AFL and cricket supporting is very very bland in comparison The State leagues below the A League are still riddled with ethnic tribalism. While it has not emerged in the A League the legacy of the past issues for soccer and the ethnicity of State leagues should be an issue of vigilance for Buckley and Co.
  17. It would not seem that way in the footy depts eyes. He may well be delisted.
  18. As I said in my post Miller is an ordinary footballer but the strengths I have listed is what has given him a 12 month breathing space. And Stars, entertain me, which player is Miller playing the 3rd up forward keeping out of the side at the moment? His leadership, work ethic and physical attack on the ball are elements we lack in a young side. I would not have cared too much if he wnet but I can understand why they have kept him on. You may wish to try a little thinking before you post. You linkage of Miller to Danihers and potentially Bailey's downfall is malicious, dishonest, disingeneous and plain wrong. I suggest you work hard on your content in future.
  19. Correct. I think they will cover their losses largely but they need to have Neagle, Gumbleton and Hurley to have productive years. And having Hille back fit means they can pinch hit Paddy Ryder at both ends of the ground.
  20. Trade him for Port's first round pick or Chris Bryan.
  21. Oh dear...We've got one here Thank God you picked it up. Ye gads it was staring us all in the face for all this time. A revelation.
  22. At the moment we dont. Cousins is a game breaker and game winner with the capacity to amass up to 40 possessions and use them well, Green is honest with clean skills and is not in that class. Cousins puts them in front atm. At this exact time we have no one of that class. But the promise we have plus Scully, Trengove and co. should see our midfield overtake Richmond within the next 2 years. Tuck had been playing with Coburg this year and was delisted. Not an issue. Petterd, Maric, Bennell, Jetta, McKenzie & Dunn have few credentials in the midfield to boast about.
