  1. I think Davey is already well on the way to cashing his chips. Lost the leadership not lost his mojo. But you are right its the current LG that should be focus. Anything we get from the ex LG this year is a bonus. We got nothing collectively on Saturday from them.
  2. Blease was dragged in the 3rd qtr, I would suggest Blease will be in the VFL this week, Bate has issues but I cant slam him for 10 possessions in 1 qtr. Green and Moloney have marked their cards badly for future weeks.
  3. You should actually watch the game to determine the impact on the game. He wasnt disgraced fully. He didnt star and yes there were far worse.
  4. Just my point. I dont know why anyone has "credits",. No one does or should with a new coach. With Neeld, i dont think there banana lounges out there for Moloney, Green, Davey or Rivers atm. At least that decision seems to be vindicated. Well done. Just my point. Where does Moloney have credits in the bank?? Its not with Neeld and thats what counts.
  5. I think there is a bit of licence in a press conference, If he did speak of Watts well that's a slight positive. Personally I was not rapt in Watts game but hell there were worse and I can understand why he would be in the "FOUR".
  6. Why not Trengove with 38 games?...Hmmm!
  7. I dont think he has credits with the Bank of Neeld,
  8. What does bleed red and blue mean if you dont get near the pill? Maloney?????
  9. He didnt name them.... Magner would be one, Either Watts or Trengove for the 2nd.Although either could make the FOUR. I think Martin for fourth
  10. While I agree he is not at AFL level anymore, he played very well in 2009 and won the B&F. He has definitely dropped off from that level. Your habit of revising history to suit an opinion just shows you up. Davey is a luxury we cant carry atm.
  11. Pity its your fantasy and not the truth. No laughing matter either.
  12. We were stagnant we almost broke out in a algae bloom. I cant recall one piece of clean ball movement the whole day. Our senior players seemed as poor as our game plan appeared. We got destroyed in the clearances in the middle. Really poor showing all around. Very poor signs indeed particularly after half time. For all our glorious pre season we seemed unfit, immobile and unable to keep up with Brisbane.
  13. Still waiting for Moloney....
  14. 6. Magner 5. Trengove 4. Martin 3. Jones 2. Bail 1. No one else worthy
  15. One relies on Mark Jamar too often and the other hurts teams in the midfield regardless of the rucks and can punish teams when he goes forward. Cotchin is a mile in front of Moloney.
  16. I agree. Cotchin went past Beamer some time ago. I dont listen to KB at all Just saw this and agree wholeheartedly. No its a bad draft pick. He has shown zip since he got to MEL. I have seen him in the AFL and VFL and I am puzzled why we spent pick 20 on him, Even more surprised that Cameron picked up him up again at Richmond after he wasted a good pick at MEL. Its as bizarre as Ratten and Riley offering a first round pick fro McLean.
  17. One was a lair. The other was a slightly reformed thug. In one game he did not even front up!. Overblown failure at MFC. Mercenary for the money. Slack attitude and physique killed his input at MFC Good pick up. Had a sterling year in 77(?) then did his knee and was not as good.
  18. Agree. As a result I dont think the psychology being applied by the health professionals is at all simplistic. The advent of ice and other really dangerous drugs has created a myriad of problems/challenges and hard to solve issues for the health industry at all levels. I dont think they are being simplistic about solutions. Its more a case of being overwhelmed with limited resources. The sad thing about this is not only is a talented individual destroying his life but it is impacting younger innocent dependents as collateral.
  19. Yes. Just like MFC has to think it will win the premiership and it will happen. I think when it comes to "beliefs", your assessment of the mental health industry is as distorted as the judgement to carry drugs on a flight. From my reading and talking to doctors the ability to be clean of crystal meth is an extremely difficult and complex process. I have had a couple of doctors who expressed doubts that you can actually get off ice. I think its naive to make generalist references to "drug addicts" because the disposition of what they are addcted to can impact their ability to remove the addiction. I would be interested in comments from those that are actually health professionals who actually deal with this situation.
  20. Ahhh....Jim Stynes. His impact on the game of ruckwork and his mobility and endurance for such a big player was exciting.. Jeff White Greg Wells Darren Bennett- One of the best kicks of a football I have ever seen. Brian Wilson. Peter Moore while at MFC Brief cameos from Sean Charles and Darren Cuthbertson
