  1. Four times we have kicked to two on one.
  2. Two bottles by the looks of it.
  3. Nah the cook has more sense and has gone to the pictures. Noodles and Hot Dogs are my signature dish when forced to enter the kitchen. And only one pot.
  4. Two Minute Noodles and Hot Dogs washed down with a bottle (or two dpending on the score) of Pinot Noir.
  5. Damm the postal service is slow out to Beech Forest. The near death stuff seems appropriate given we suffer it almost every week.
  6. This forum judges blokes who have had 1 year (or less) pretty harshly. Why does he get 3 years. It seems that most agree that the past two coaches have had a detrimental impact on those players still listed but want that out of their minds/games now yet Roos is getting 3 years. The real assessment should be at the end of next season. He said as much last night where he said he would get thru this year, make his list changes, get another pre season in under his game plan so he should be judged at the end of next season.
  7. Gia from the Bulldogs might be an option. Retires the end of the year and has made it clear he wants to coach. Two year apprenticeship under Roos would be ideal.
  8. Found this definition: "Parapsychic science is the unity of contemporary science and philosophy with metaphysics to provide us with the ability to understand and communicate with the spiritual realm. It covers many areas of psychic science including the investigation of psychic phenomena, extra-terrestrial activity, telepathy, near-death experiences, and parapsychology." From the Herald Sun article. Seems practical and apt for MFC.

She is the author of two books — one with her husband — and has a degree in parapsychic science from the American Institute of Holistic Theology.
  10. I would like to see the player reviews from Sunday.Like the ones we were getting about the Casey players. Brutal and honest, warts and all. Roos spoke about the supporters and the disappointment well I think he could build a bridge and show us what he and the coaches think/thought after the game. At the moment its all a bit soft in my opinion. Did not want to say something he might have regretted. To my mind we were dished up an offensive game of shite and no one seemed overly concerned if we the supporters were offended.
  11. I think you over rate JKH. He did nothing at Casey this week and had 4 touches against the Hawks in what was a reasonable team effort. Seems to spit the dummy a bit in my opinion.
  12. Do MFC use that One Team stuff. Don't know what its called but the players speak openly and honestly to each other, not about the last game but the season performance or training performance? It would seem that it might be a good idea. I agree with who ever said it that the players would have heard it all before, as recently as after the Brisbane game where the match review went for two days. Few home truths would not hurt.
  13. Yes he did and I do not buy it for one minute. Training is often conducted under match condition simulations. If they are able to deliver on the track and not on the day then the simulations do not go hard enough which is a coaching responsibility. I am a firm believer that you play like you train. Have not yet been to training but think this week could be a good time to go now that I am a man of leisure.
  14. Did you watch the game? Michie was in the better performers (very limited number to be sure) today in my opinion and was still going at the end. At one point in the last quarter he is sprinting after a GWS guy while Watts and another MFC player, much closer and on a better angle to intercept just barely raised a jog. Michie has played a total of 4 games spread over the past 21 games. How much of a judgement can be made of him or any of the players with under 20 games at the AFL level. Salem was virtually invisible today except for one courageous act in the game, Kent was wasteful but did score a goal yet neither of these guys are on your list. This is a problem on this forum. To ready to ditch everyone one week and then talk them up the next. Watch Tom McDonald's interview of DTV and tell me the players are not just as gutted as we are. The players don't know why today happened, the coach doesn't know either. McDonald at least took the blame and I think the coaches bear some ressponsibility as well.
  15. He has never been to a Casey Game. I have seen other AFL coaches (e.g. Buckley, McCartney, Thompson) at their reserves games. Apparently relies on down the ground video. My take from the presser is that its not the coaching but the execution of the game plan. Oh and the skills. Isn't the improvement of skills the coaches (not just Roos) role?
  16. Is that a typo? Would have thought it is exactly what is needed. He also has very fast hands. His hand balling is very good. I think he is still a bit over awed as a newby. A very quiet bloke that takes a bit to come out of his shell.

  18. "is that the truth or did you read it in the Herald Sun". The reporter probably left at half time and just used the dream team points is my guess.

  20. I want to think you are right. I reckon my expectations with the appointment of Roos were way out of the realms of what is achievable in one year and want to believe that today was an aberration and that another pre season with a very focused effort improving skills and attacking footy will see an improvement on field next year. But it is getting hard. Roos' plan just does not seem to lead to goals and these still determine wins. Be interesting next week. The eagurls beat us by 93 in rnd 3. Next week will give us a decent comparison to say just how much we have improved.
  21. What was wrong with his game today? He played his 4th game today had the 3rd highest possessions today (22) at about 80% efficiency and 4 of the 50 odd tackles. We are being let down by the poor skills level that in my opinion has not improved. I also think that there are a lot of players that are selfish, Kent burning the free forward in the 3rd quarter was a prime example. Frawley and Dawes were pitiful today. The fact is that Roos has had very little impact this year despite the addition of Vince and Cross. Perhaps he should have Tammy do a bit of work on the players. She is on the payroll.
  22. Turnovers are big on the menu. Hogan no touches yet time on 1st 1/4. Scorps now 1 point.
  23. Just listening to SEN. The Ox has come out and said that its time for Watts to move on. Reckons MFC can't develop him.
  24. Stringer has not been nominated yet.
