  1. Currently the club does but the new league wont. Daisy was just asked on the channel 7 footy show about the $5k payment and said after taking out super and medical its not much. Apparently the players association has taken on the medical insurance issue. The men are fully covered. I would think its an OH&S issue as well.
  2. I watch the women's league quite a bit. The Darebin Falcons are a seriously good side and dominate the other teams. I think that the league will be a better spectacle because the talent is going to be spread around. I am hoping that they are given a few years to build the competition and that they get the support they will need, like GWS and the Suns. My biggest concern is that they are not medically insured by the clubs which is disgraceful. The match late last year saw two players do ACLs and one end up with bruised kidneys.

  4. Took the whole 2nd qtr to get a coffee. But the Bacon rolls were excellent. The bulldogs bloke broke his leg apparently. The last quarter was a boil over but great to watch. Smith takes a great mark or two. Love Angus Scott (27). Only a little fella but gets into it,
  5. Secret handshake is easy. Grab a bacon roll and just wave it about on the outer.
  6. They tell me he is better than Roos with the one on ones. The players like him and his style.
  7. Maybe as a rookie at struggling teams, Brisbane,Tigers, Essendon, Dockers? But who knows, I am sure Viv does not know anything at this stage. I thought the poor disposal on show at Geelong yesterday showed just how unlucky he was to be dropped. Against Carlton he went at 90% for 20 disposals. He seems to take time in his delivery and as a result has very good DE. Certainly one of the best disposals at MFC. Plenty of others were far less effective than Viv in the Carlton game. As I said after that game if Hogan had kicked the two goals Viv hit up for then his impact would have been rated higher. Also thought that Roos could have and should have switched him into the middle at some stage. He is okay as a HBFer but is a better mid and plays the defensive mid role really well. Don't think Viv has been given the opportunity at Melbourne others have but that's footy. Reckon he should have gone to Essendon this year. Interesting to note that no matter where he plays he dominates the inside 50s. 7 yesterday and 10 the previous Casey game (off the HBF). Looking forward to him playing finals at Casey. Pity he can't win the B&F or Liston. Hasn't played enough games.
  8. Michie got better as the game went on. People who are slamming him for his game really make me wonder what they watched. have not seen anyone identifying the poor game of Petracca (47% disposal efficiency is woeful) Stretch who shat himself a couple of time and Brayshaw who does not get enough of the ball fo a mid fielder. In my humble opinion, Michie should have been swung into the mid field because the plonkers we had in there were not up to it ON THE DAY. Roos failed more than any. Did not make any changes even though we were getting rogered all over the place. Blaming Michie Weed and ANB is pathetic.
  9. The three ins knew on Tuesday, so I don't think he was over-ruled, probably just too furious to talk to them.
  10. Definitely. But tell me what was so poor about his game as opposed to Brayshaw, Oliver, Hunt, Bugg, Watts, Stretch, Kent? He had SFA in turnovers, Petracca had 1 more disposal out of the middle and went at 48% DE. Viv got 20 possessions at 90% beaten only by Watts at 92% from 14. To read comments on this site you would think he lost the game on his own.
  11. Playing off the half back flank what damage were you expecting?. Particularly today when not only did the midfield fail dismally they did not get back to help when the blues mids were racing forward all day. Michie has become the Jack Watts of this site and is everyone's whipping boy. He had 20 disposals at 90%. He hit up Hogan twice but he missed both. Michie did not set the world on fire from the HBF but tell me what damage did Brayshaw, Viney, Oliver, Stretch Watts inflict today? No he wont be at Melbourne next year but today he was far from our worst.
  12. Absolute Bull shite. Has had 1 turnover from 11 possessions. Group hate on this page is un funken believable. The mid field is pizz poor but one bloke on the HBF is at fault. Enjoy the rest of your hate fest.
  13. Yeah they have been the worst and the total reason that we are behind.
  14. I think nerves were playing a big part in that quarter. Different matter this quarter. Mids need to pick up their game but no doubt they will. In front by 5 at half time.
  15. We have got this. Definitely settled after a dodgy first TEN minutes. Carlton have played their one quarter. We will smash them from here on.
  16. Part his hair in a circle and give him a mullet and you have Bruce Doull the 2nd.
  17. Nah I just think despite showing plenty at VFL level, was yo yo'd last season and not given much of a go this year all of which suggest to me that he is not going to be re-contracted. The interesting thing is that he has been emergency 9 times this year. It is difficult to understand the FD thinking some times. I hope he stays but I doubt it.
