  1. I agree you tend to miss him and then he has 25 touches. Sort of quiet achiever (if that's the right word). He kicked a goal on Sunday and I did not realise until later. Apparently spent the 3rd qtr either on the bench or at HFF. Spoke to him post game. Said it was to give somebody else a go in the middle. Was back in the middle for the last. You aren't the first to say you just don't notice him but then realise that he has had a ton of it. I would like to see him get a few games in a row as I think he has potential.
  2. Looks like somebody disagrees with you. From the coaches VFL player review. "Viv Michie: Viv’s had a good couple of weeks. He ended up with 25 possessions and three effective tackles. Viv provided us with good ball use and linked inside 50. He ended up having nine clearances, which was the highest for the day from our midfield players, so his work around the stoppages was really strong. He played his role really well and also gave us some quality ball use and link-up work. I can’t fault Viv at the moment. His attitude has been tremendous since being dropped back to the VFL."
  3. Michie was dropped after coming on as sub against St Kilda. Had a shocker but was THE ONLY PLAYER to go back, out of position, after we hit the front with 41 seconds to go, only to have Crossy come on and tell him to get out and into position. JKH is over rated and if he reads the play so well how come he doesn't get it.
  4. Didn't stand out. Terrible disposal and missed 2 or 3 relatively easy goals including one my geriatric self would have been embarrassed to miss. Having said that I will probably have a bad game myself today. Not even going to attempt shots. Roos' boy went reasonably well got a few touches and probably should have kicked at least one but lacked confidence and passed it off. White was pretty quiet. King was good early but then Hunt bobbed up. Whilst he kicked 4 two were joe the goose type gifts in the goal square. He did look good though. Before the game Jamar was outside the ground with a physio and looked to be doing some sort of fitness test. He was good around the ground and did not seem to be impaired. Liam Jones had the better of Fitz . Liam was probably the best for the blues.
  5. Some you do (Casey) some you don't (Vic Park, Whitten Oval)
  6. Going to Princes Park. Certain win and good competitive footy. Makes it easier if we don't win on Sunday. Plus its not at Casey. Tragic that there will be no bacon rolls, but being in hipster city the coffee will be good. get along
  7. Thats my weekend when we win. Slappers!!!!!!
  8. Isn't it ISISM (I'm sad. I support Melbourne)
  9. Maxwell Smart comes to mind since they cancelled his show.
  10. I get the feeling that you would do this anyway.
  11. Have a look at the game as you obviously haven't seen the effort he put in for 3/4s. He was off the field for virtually the whole of the last qtr. Or alternatively read the Coaches assessment (last weeks as well) Not even a hint of him not doing exactly what was required. Or read the match reviews. I am a big fan of Viv (as DL know) but I cannot understand why he was not named this week. I am just glad that he is not one of these players that chucks the toys out of the cot when dropped or not named and gives his all every week. I do agree that he is likely to be gone at the end of the year. But like some others on here I do not think he has been given a decent go. Just my (bit biased) opinion.
  12. MELBOURNE has added three players to its squad for Sunday’s clash against the Brisbane Lions at the MCG. The Demons have included ruckman Mark Jamar, former co-captain Jack Grimes and midfielder Aidan Riley into their mix. The trio has been named on an extended interchange, along with midfielder Dom Tyson, forward Jay Kennedy-Harris, first-year Demon Alex Neal-Bullen and rookie James Harmes, who all played in Melbourne’s nine-point loss to Essendon at the MCG last round. No changes have yet to be made.

  14. Would not be surprised if they go with the same 22. Treat last week as an aberration.
  15. Whipped him with a lettuce leaf. Severly.
  16. He used to drink at my local. F6CKTARD. Always seems half pisharted to me.
  17. Watching the Casey games has been pretty good the last few weeks. The MFC players are all contributing but they seem to have a different game plan. The Casey players are pretty good as well. Gent #10 and #11 are good to watch and are a class above some of the others. The team gets on well and big Jamar shows pretty good leadership. I get a laugh when they are singing the team song. Most don't know the words (Terlich seems to be the exception).
  18. Yep. It would seem some players get dropped for one poor effort or game and others get a pass week in week out. Can't do their confidence any good if they can't make mistakes and learn from them. Going to play risk free footy and we have to take risks to compete (IMHO). Watched Fitzy for the last two weeks and think he has earned a recall. If the selectors are fair dinkum then Stretch, JKH and Harmes all go out. Also think playing Gus this week was a mistake. Hopefully he bounces back this week.
  19. I am an old codger, she would have a further 10 years on me. No point in being suggestive because by the game's end it was almost past our bedtime and she had cleaning to do. Just having a red or two whilst I watch the Lions and Swans.
  20. To be honest I really struggled to see half the game when on the other side because of the rain light and I am an old F@rt with crap eyesight. Thought Jamar and Spencer, Michie, Hunt and Reilly were good. No 10 and 11 were handy as well. Mitch White did a couple of good things, did not notice King. Fitz was good down back and Terlich was pretty solid .The record did not have some players listed but I think Toump was 51 not much influence. Michie was off for most of the last qtr on the bench with an ankle in ice. Just a precaution I think. Don't think you can take much away from the game as it was just horrendous conditions. Basically a rolling maul most of the time. The bacon rolls were very good but the coffee is bleeding awful. Lovely lady serving it though.
  21. Just got home. You were lucky to miss. Conditions absolutely the worst I have seen in years. Casey handled them pretty well. The Borough only scored goals in the second qtr. The 3rd was the worst qtr of footy I have seen in 60 years. The rain was heavy and constant. Real olde tyme footy. Every qtr went more than 30 minutes because of the rolling stoppages.
  22. Especially those Kebabs from the dodgy caravans in petrol stations.
