  1. So if I can get this right, he's been found to have no case to answer on accusations leveled at him, that he never disputed and in fact issued an apology for. Is that about the gist of it?
  2. I certainly hope you are correct. I backed Cotchin at good odds, but it's so long ago I can't remember the exact bet. Do you really think they'll pay up, presuming Jab hands it back and it's re-awarded?
  3. Sure, he was a natural freak of the game, but how many games did he actually play? It could be suggested that had he trained well and given up the durries, he would have easily doubled his games played count, and god only knows how many goals. I think by mentioning Jako, you've actually hurt your argument.
  4. And, if you remove the word "fair", you also have to remove the "oxy" component of the last word.
  5. I think there's a number 7 here. As any guilty players will still be reaping the rewards of the injections post any suspension, I don't think it's fair that they would still be able to play for the offending club. Quite likely they won't want to, but just in case I'd suggest there needs to be a mini draft held to disperse all guilty players to other clubs. None should be allowed to remain at EFC.
  6. Home and away only isn't it? But good question, has that ever happened?
  7. Well at least we all know who'll win next years Coleman Medal. Best look for a price now, money for jam.
  8. Cale Morton was considering a comeback. He's just put it on hold.
  9. I couldn't work out who he reminds me of (playing style), but knew I'd seen it before. I worked it out, and know why it was so tough. Byron Pickett anyone?
  10. I think he decided to spend the day at the local sperm bank. And well done to him, good call and great pick up.
  11. Those highlights are seriously funny at times. He's fair dinkum taking the [censored] with a few of those touches. The only risk with this kid is that in the future he finds football too easy and looks for a bigger challenge.
  12. Have been waiting for this thread for a little while. I'm with you all the way Dazzle. The 2 mids for the early picks and take the Buzz later on. I think he has the most upside of all the KPFs in this draft and definite cult figure potential. Also, we need a replacement in the WAGs club for Pia. I'd suggest his gf has exactly what we need. That leaves 2 questions. a) Which mid to pick first to ensure the other is still there at 7, and b) Who do we take as the 4th pick? I'm not sure, maybe O'Kearney? Edit: The 4th pick I'd ideally like Partington, but I doubt he'll still be available
  13. Surely the official Essendon line of 'We have no idea what the players were injected with' is the smoking gun for WS, and makes the whole thing an open and shut case? I would have thought it's a free shot for WS and there'd be absolutely no need for negotiating a penalty, go hard, spend whatever you need to maximise the penalty. After all, it's your duty to look out for any affected employees, isn't it? Also, considering this involves 34 players, surely there are 34 charges of any infringement. You kill 34 people aren't you charged with 34 murders? Surely the penalty has to be applied 34 times?
  14. Considering the players that were back training, I'd be interested to know if McCartney was there. I'd have thought he'd be a central figure at training for the younger guys only? Thanks for the reports to all.
  15. I'm not making excuses for him. He needs to step up and I'm sure he's aware.
  16. So with the apparent lack of interest in him, and your hinting that he won't be offered a contract, are you saying the real question should be 'Should Jack Watts be delisted end of 2016?' Oh dear.
  17. I don't buy into the theory that there was no interest in him. Coming into his free agency year I would say he's the type of player clubs would rather wait a year and pick up for nothing, than spend a pick on. To be the leading assist provider in a team with a dysfunctional forward line says he's doing something right, even if inconsistently. He's icing on the cake and I'd be very surprised if there weren't 2 or 3 clubs waving contracts in front of him (legal or otherwise) for 2017. I'll be honest, I'm a fan, but FFS he can be disappointing at times. I think Roos and co are in the same boat. The round 22 dropping was a wake up call for him to have a big preseason and start performing consistently for 4 quarters, week to week. I'm backing him in to do that. As for the question, Watts is absolutely best 22, HF. The other side of the coin is, with 2016 being his free agent year, if he doesn't sign a new contract early, he'll be putting himself under enormous pressure as the bagging from media, supporters and haters will go through the roof. If you thought the hate for Scully was bad enough, what you'll see for Watts will make you think T$ got off scot-free.
  18. Not sure if anyone has seen the latest photos of Jarrod Hayne. Check out the arms. No way that is natural. Definitely no way in 12 months. Is NFL not signed up to WADA?
  19. Spot on. By the sounds of it we were pretty close to doing so.
  20. What hasn't been mentioned at all really is what will happen if 2 or more Essendon players are found guilty. Then it comes back on the club, and WADA can take further action (not that I know what that is exactly). I don't really care how long it takes to deal with the players, it's the next step that interests me and how much damage can be done to the Essendon Football club, the overarching guilty party.
  21. Can't imagine why, with a head like that. The term 'head like a half sucked mango' comes to mind......
