  1. Just reported on 3AW that TMac has re-injured his foot.
  2. I stand every week even though I am a Redlegs member giving me access to reasonable seats. Can anyone tell me why I couldn’t access Category 7 tickets on Tuesday - neither via Premium member or Club member? I only had access to Categories 1, 2 and 6 from memory. When I clicked on Brisbane members I was able to get a Category 7 ticket (which I did). In the event we win on Friday I’d like to know how best to get a standing area ticket (category 7). Are they only available when all seats are sold?
  3. Prepare to be disappointed. I’m tipping mid to high 50’s. Our supporter demographic don’t do cold, late nights. (excuse the poor grammar)
  4. I’m stuffed if I know why tickets now available weren’t available this morning. Makes no sense. I spent $60 more than if I had waited.
  5. I’m predicting no change. Goody will have convinced himself we’ll be able to repeat the Gabba performance without changes. As for those saying ANB, Salem or Spargo should be dropped it will NEVER happen. The past four years have convinced me that they are Goody’s favourites.
  6. I also stand and wanted anywhere in Warne Stand Category 7. Nothing available so got Ponsford for $40. Not happy with that bought M2 for $60. Have since found out I can access M9 standing from Ponsford. If you want a cheap tik ($30) you can have the first one.
  7. Some chance a ‘standing supporter’ may want it. I doubt all that area will be Lions.
  8. Yeah. Mentioned elsewhere. Handy to know but I reckon it’ll be manned.
  9. Thanks for that tip re access from Ponsford to Warne. I reckon there may be an attendant there during finals. Myself and 6 mates all have Redlegs but only ever stand in M9. For the 2000 GF I had to buy 9 seats (in Ponsford). I phoned the MFC saying I was happy to swap for standing room (we stood anyway). The MFC said they were too busy (fair enough). I guess I wasn’t on Dland then.
  10. You can't walk from Posford (gate 1) to Shane Warne stand. I'm pretty sure the barcode includes to gate you must enter. Otherwise any ticket would allow you to enter any gate ie MCC or AFL members gate. I purchased another ticket in M2 anyway. Just means I wasted $40. I've got a spare seat in the middle of the Lions cheer squad (M33) if anyone wants it ($30)
  11. If my ticket says gate 1. Will I be able to get in gate 4? I just want to stand in M9.
  12. If you have trouble getting a good seat as a Melbourne member click on Brisbane member. I know it's been said before. Worked for me.
  13. M_9 replied to Elegt's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would not be playing Mitch Brown regardless of his VFL form. Three games this year. Averaged 8 disposals. Goal-less in two games. Two goals v Crows in a 6 goal win.
  14. I wonder if the club is thinking that Tomlinson may be looking at an opportunity elsewhere, in which case Joel would be needed.
  15. I think you'll find that you're to the right of the cheer squad who will be in M3. They sell bay M3 as restricted view (cheaper) because the cheer squad are in front of you. I have a seat in M3 (Row HH so well back). I won't be sitting in my seat. Rather Ill be standing in M9.
  16. I was a cheer squad member early 60s. We’d sleep overnight for a H&A game - all grounds except Windy Hill and Vic Park (too dangerous). I slept outside the MCG (sleeping bag on bitumen) in 1966 to get tickets to a GF my team wasn’t playing in. Boy, was I anxious when scores were tied.
  17. You’re kidding aren’t you? I’d bet there were Pies supporters buying Cats members tickets today. According to another site the practice goes back to 2017 when Tigers members were able to access Cats members’’ tickets. Ticketek has learnt nothing. The clubs have learnt nothing.
  18. I have no idea how Ticketek release seats. When I logged on at 10am the only M area under Category 7 was M3 (behind the cheer squad so restricted view). I just logged on (6pm) and seats were available in M7. Go figure.
  19. See my post re one empty seat in M3 if that’s of any use.
  20. For the 2000 GF all I wanted was 9 Southern Stand standing room tickets. I had my 9 memberships. My only option was to buy 9 seats in the Posford. The Southern Stand was not available as we were the away team. Furthermore the AFL refused ro sell standing room until all seats were sold. I phoned the MFC and told them I was happy to swap my (good) seats for standing room tickets. They said they were too busy (understandable). I guess I wasn't on Demonland then. I"m hoping that has changed so that you can buy standing room, even if you are a Premium member. Today I bought Category 7 - restricted view and standing room. If we do get to the big dance I may well have 9 seats up for exchange. ATM I have one (see earlier post)
  21. Can anyone tell me why my ticket came to my phone as a barcode and not a QR code? Last Friday night I tried to enter the GABBA with my mate's Lions membership card (QR code on the card) and was told I needed a barcode. I gather the MCG takes both?
  22. I've got a seat in M3 row HH, so behind the cheer squad I suspect. I plan on standing in my usual location. PM me if you'd like my seat. No charge. You'd need to see me on the night to collect my ticket. I'll be standing in M9 so you'll need a ticket that gets you into the Southern stand. No way will I be organise any 'transaction' before the game. Please don't ask. BTW I did the same in 2018 for our Elim final. The recipient was very grateful (bought me a beer). x
  23. Why do a very small number of posters say Nibbler should be dropped. it will never happen. Every Dees player has a specific role. I’ve no doubt the FD are happy that ANB is playing his role every week.
  24. Reckon we’ll be Sat night
  25. A drop of 0.5 percent. Swans need 6 goals v none to Saints
