I agree with your last statements. How can the coaching staff, after 5 (?) years, not be working on his deficiencies. You'd have to think he has not one ounce of Clarry's 'see ball, get ball' ferocity. He competed for a mark with Pearce at one point (last quarter) and stood idle as Pearce just ran away after neither marked. I've seen similar all too often. BTW I'd love to see him succeed. How long do we wait?
  3. I think if you watch the replay you'll see he often plays a link role - sometimes just a touch or tap on that doesn't count as a stat. Must cover a few km also.
  4. Chandler in for ANB
  5. Charlie!

What’s the issue with Brown. I have no vision. Career done?
  7. You may snag a park in the small streets behind {eastern side} of the Barwon Club Hotel. 10 min walk.
  8. I live 20km from Kpark but can't be there tonight. I'll catch a ball-by-ball commentary on the radio at noon - from Greece (Corfu). BTW if you're coming to Europe in the next few weeks, pack your togs. It's stinking hot.

    Hardly like for like.
  10. Now there's a coincidence.
  11. Tmac told my mate tonight that a scan yesterday showed he has a lisfranc injury. Surgery this week.
  12. I've had a GFG membership for more than 20 years. As far as I know all clubs have a limit on how many GFG's they can sell. I'd think it would be a flat number eg 6k. Clubs must have a certain number of GF tickets available to their general members. I would doubt that clubs would differentiate ie there's just 2 groups - GFG members and 'ordinary' members. Things may be slightly different now that all sales are online.

Not sure about that. I know of 3 cases (friends) where co-habitants have not been infected.

I think it's best to buy your ticket prior to the night. Tickets are available from Ticketek. $30 General admission (download to your phone). I assume tickets will be the same price on the night although some stadiums (SCG, GABBA) have been known to pull stunts such as putting signs up 'No General Admission' on the night. I've had to pay $45 at both venues despite there being ample GA space.

Myself and about a dozen friends are travelling up. Away supporters generally occupy the outer or River end. There's a nice open bar there (or there was). Plenty of seating. I doubt the crowd will be more than 16k-18k.
  16. Tyson? ....oops, sorry.
  17. Not dissimilar start to the day for me. Shocking round of golf (23 pts), drove to Waurn Ponds station and jumped on the train only to find I was on the way to Warnambool. Got off at first stop - Winchhelsea. No taxi or Uber. Got mate to drive over from Torquay (40 mins) and deliver me back to Waurn Ponds station to start again. Still hopeful I'll be in time to see flag unfurled. Round one 1965 I was 13 yo and would have been at the game but can't remember that unfurling. Can't miss this one.
  18. There's usually a pre-match function. I've attended functions at Royal Pines Resort and Emerald Lakes GC. Both within walking distance to the ground. I think the latter is more likely to be the venue if there is a function. I've tried phoning the club but have not got through. Close to a dozen of us travelling up from the Surfcoast.

I have a Platinum (Redlegs Home and Away) membership and posted after receiving a letter around September that, from memory, said there'd be no rise in the cost of my membership. I no longer have the letter and may have misread it. I pay by direct debit and I think that recommences next month. Other membership categories may not have had a price freeze.. Alternatively I may have been rewarded for having a premium membership for more than 20 years. J first purchased a membership in 1962. My membership, which includes the GFG, is far cheaper than my Cats and Bulldog supporting mates who pay significantly more for an equivalent membership. My understanding is that there's a long wait for a GFG membership at all of the big four clubs..

I had a chat to Crackers at my local (Torquay) some years ago. Definitely no love for Melbourne. Likewise for Gerard, although not to the same extent.
  21. Luke flats with my mate's son. Said the other two clubs that interviewed him basically said the same thing - "what can you bring to us". Luke said Dees said to him "this is what we can offer you". My friend said Luke is a ripping young man and was hoping he'd land at the Bombres (her team).

Congratulations Nev. Gave his all to us on-field, and to indigenous youth off-field. Good luck at the Pies.
  23. Scores level. I don't like the way this is heading.
  24. Only if you're a sleep walker.
  25. Is it too late to change my vote in the "Is Goodwin the right guy?" poll?
