No Eagles defence

Last Lion's goal increased their percentage by 0.4 in case you missed it.

Another Lion's goal and Dogs out (or very close)

Jayden Hunt is progressing far quicker than anticipated and will commence running tomorrow.
-
I hope Gerard asks him about Bradshaw's (sic) game yesterday.

Just looking at the 12 top ranked Cats players (AFL site) only two, Cam Guthrie and Menegola, are under 30 years of age. Guthrie is 28 and Menegola is 29. Scott will be praying for that bye.

Round 22 1990 v St Kilda. "Daniher revealed on radio the day Sheeds swapped him with his brother Terry in the closing stages at Princes Park. Trailing by four goals in time on, the half back flanker moved forward and kicked the last two goals to see the Bombers home by a point. “I know why Sheeds did it, my brother Terry wasn’t getting a kick,” Daniher joked. “I said to Kevin at three quarter time, how long are you going to put up with this, any danger of getting Terry out of there? “We finally got him out of there and I went forward, we crossed over and I said to Terry, about time.”

I can't see how you can leave Gawn out.

Won $140 on the back of a $10 8-leg same game multi. Had Friiita for 2 or more goals. Geez, what I would have collected had I had him for 7 or more.

Back at the 'G next Sat according to Tom Morris ?? (forget his name)

I may be letting the cat out of the bag, but I can tell you that Jayden has damaged his syndesmosis ligament, typically a 6-8 week recovery period. Both Noah Balta and Nathan Broad have missed 6 weeks with the same injury. Slight chance Jayden will return this season.

MFC player racially abused on social media - club statement
M_9 replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
I found it hard to watch Eddie pour his heart out on AFL 360 tonight. For those who didn't see it he was close to tears and said it had just worn him down. I thought Eddie said that Kosi had told him he'd been subjected to racist comments numerous times this year. I may misinterpreted that. -
Ch 10 news saying TMac never left the gym today. Unlikely to start.

Agree. You'd think with 6 days in lockdown you'd think Yze, Chocco or someone could coach both Jack and James into taking the first option or somehow getting a clean disposal.
-
Hibbo didn't put the brakes on Stringer. Jake had 24 disposals, his third highest this year. He was among the Don's best. Greene had 17 disposals and kicked 5.2, his equal best this year. He was close to the Giant's best. Hibbo had 3 disposals. Hibbo's disposal is atrocious. He kicks it lace out to an opponent or, like Jones, bombs long. Bowey had 13 disposals (10 to half time) and was close to 100 % efficient. I'm sick to death of the likes of Viney and Hibbo who, whilst they give their all, butcher the ball leading to opposition goals. Hibbo's stuff ups lead directly to two Hawk's goals. A 'loss' that could define our season.
-
No way should Hibberd take Bowey's spot. Hibbo has been poor this year. Fumbles have cost us goals and he is still bombing it. Bowey a much better distributor of the ball.
-
Viney and Harmes deficient in the same areas - unable to break tackles, too often caught with the ball, and poor disposal. Jack will hold his spot on the back of his tackling. I think JJ offers more than Harmes. Re Langdon - he'll need to adapt his game when we play a K park where there are no wings (so to speak).
-
I had hoped for exactly these changes, didn't expect them, and very happy to see them. Hibbo has struggled the last two weeks. His fumbles and a hand pass straight to an opponent cost us a goal against the Hawks. Sparrow's DE is well up (76%) albeit over 16 games. He's a pretty good kick for goal. Not unhappy LJ still in. He's not going to improve sitting on the sidelines (or playing VFL practice matches).
-
Schache a strange selection. Has played 3 games since 2019, averaging 6 disposals. Furthermore, their back six is not overly tall - only two 'talls' - Keath (197) and Cordy (193). If Max or LJ stray forward the Dogs will struggle to find a match.
-
Butchers: Viney Players who bomb: Hibberd, Jones Better kicks: Sparrow. Melk

Hibbo. NFI

I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere; does anyone know how many MFC memberships with a GFG have been sold? Disclosure: I've been a MFC member for close to 60 years and a Redlegs member (includes GFG) for 20 years.

I'm 20km down the road from Kardinia Park, although I doubt spectators will be allowed. It would be handy prep for our Cats game to play there. Both MCG and Marvel occupied Sat and Sunday, and the Dogs v Crows in Ballarat. Tassie the only other option altho' it could well close also.
