Placing Michie on the rookie list again is a waste of time. The club should take a leap of faith by placing Joel Smith on the senior list. White also should be given a go. Dawes too much of a dinosaur, needs to be let go. Hopefully Spencer could find a new home,he has reached his use by date. Newton and M.King your'e fired.
  2. If we cannot get Hibberd so be it. That's not the end of the world. I would hope that we are not silly enough to entertain the idea of giving away any future picks.

To the person who merged the 3 sites on delistings……… bloody well done.

For players to get delisted it is either there fault or the club's fault or a bit of both, that's life. We have to improve our list.

Leehow,if we had a 1st round pick we could trade it for more later picks, keep it or pick up someone of value and since we don't seem to have many reserve players to step up to senior level we will struggle next year. We may very well make the eight next year and would be good. Where do you expect us to finish next year?
  6. How old is Tim Smith? anyone

With so many potential candidates to get rid of, I can't see us making the eight next year due to no 1st round pick (keep or trade ) and we lack key backup players.Really we need a miracle. to Moonshadow IDGARA on your cryptic comment.

After the Casey match we can say goodbye to Spencer(5th),Michie(zilch),Trengove(4th),Grimes(5th),M.Jones(zilch),Newton(zilch),Terlich(zilch),Dunn(4th) and Garland (4th). In brackets is the draft pick we could command ( more like pray for) ANB and Kennedy Harris may survive,we need someone to get rid of for next year.
  9. Declan probably should be put on the senior list next year, Smith and the other basketballer should be added to the rookie list and not be clasified as "B" rookies.

Praha,if Spencer wants to seek opportunities elsewhere,we shouldn't stand in his way.Regarding contracts Cloke for example has another year to run,but I bet my bottom dollar he is playing elsewhere, there are many many examples where players have been traded whilst under contract. A player can walk once his contract is up,the club still gets a draft.

I am sure you cannot "rookiie" someone for more than 3yrs which means Max King will get the chop. Spencer could end up being traded surely he wants to play seniors and not be anyones sidekick. Bisbance,GC may be interested. If we cannot get Hibberd for the right currency then we should go for Marchbank,GWS are much easier to deal with than EFC. Dunn,Garland and Dawes all of whom are getting little senior game time may want more.At this stage we cannot get a 1st round pick so hopefully there are some diamonds in the rough in our latter draft round picks. Salem will become a midfielder which means ANB could be traded. Garlett may need to do some midfield work due to lack of opportunities to score in the forward line.
  12. Pick 27 for Hibberd is a no, he should be allowed to leave EFC free of charge…………. actually you do have to give up a draft pick. We delisted Fitzpatrick and recieve pick 84 from the Hawks. The Dees should be looking elsewhere i.e GWS the footyfactory we have been served well by them in the past and they are easier to work with than the EFC. As I said B4 Caleb Marchbank looks the goods.
  13. Offering Dawes and Terlich, why waste someone's time with paper work.

Norm Smith could have been much more successful than what he was because the club knocked back the gret Poly Farmer(Geelong) and Darryl Baldock (St.Kilda). Hopefully Simon and co. get it right and continue with success.

Max King would be on the rookie list for three years at the end of this year. I think by AFL rules you cannot have a rookie for a fourth year and why would you do it anyway. Mitch King is the same ht as Max and if he can overcome his injury he will be an assest. We could take a chance on Steven Smith's son and promote him,he is a quick learner.

DAWES ( 5th round pick), TERLICH (zilch), ANB (3rd round pick), NEWTON (zilch), MINCHIE (zilch), LUMUMBA (5th round pick), GRIMES (4th round pick), SPENCER(4th round pick), MAX KING (zilch), Matt Jones, Trengove and White safe for now.
  17. Consequences should apply in the form physical exercises or a cold swim.
  18. NUTBEAN the Dees surely would have a back up plan by now if Hogan wishes to leave when his contract is up.
  19. The way the Dees are playing Hogan is not the focal point, the club realises he may want to go home. Hopefully he chooses to stay and the fact Freo are crap that may encourage him to stay. Another good recruiting round at the end of the year will ensure that we will be finals material. Remaining spuds will be let go.
  20. When a team gets better hoodoos tend to get broken. The cats had the wood over the hawks then the trend reversed and once again the cats prevailed. The MFC have two straight wins against GWS and Collingwood.
  21. Why should drug cheats get payed for a year's holiday and the non cheats have to work. Isn't in a footballers contract, you take a banned substance you no get paid.
  22. 17 clubs should gang up on the AFL and Essendon.Drug cheating whether it is deliberate or not is still an offence. The AFL need to have rules in place to discourage cheating and not reward. ASADA was a waste of time as WADA could over ride their decision. We as a club should get a refund from Essendon i.e one of their draft picks. Jake in a year's time might not be the player some of us would expect to be. He could end up being damaged goods, then what ?
  23. Hello this guy is taken leave with pay. Drug cheating does pay a lot like crime !!!!
  24. Mr Deecisive,by paying suspended players you are actually rewarding cheats. I wouldn't mind getting paid for a year for do nothing. All this amounts to is stupidity on a large scale. If the AFL had rules in place regarding players from club injecting substances and the consequences that may prevent the problem from occuring in the first place.Players involved should automatically given a one year suspension. The club involved should also be stripped of premierships points for the following season and for the current season be disqualified from the finals which happened. The players do not receive a wage for the next season.Draft picks, the offending team can only receive 3rd round onwards and cannot trade anyone for lower picks.Compensation is given to clubs who unknowingly pick players who are deemed as drug cheats, perhaps the other club are given first choice on top up players. The coach of the so called drug cheats is fined $1 mill dollars, the club is fined $2 mill dollars which has occured. The players cannot sue the AFL or the EFC.
  25. Since Melksham was found guilty of drug the cheating, the Dees should not be obliged to honour his contract and should have the right to be compensated by Essendon for us to giving up pick 24. Promoting anyone off the rookie list is no big deal, the particular player get a better opportunity to show what he is worth. A blessing in disguise !!!!!!
