Cross for Laurie,T.Mac for Petty. Kentfield in for Jefferson or Heath (unlkely) Henderson for Kozzie ( if suspended) . Like to have 3 changes as to get games into lesser known players. Forget reserve scores.

We should win this one easily. Hope Kentfield kicks a gazillion goals ( probably not in this universe ) Hope Kalani is the next Jackson but only better.

One min Cross is in our starting line the next min he is not. I will no no longer look at the team line ups on a Thurday night. Perhaps for our line ups will should play K.P song Hot and Cold. As quoted by some, Heath will get game time when Max needs a rest. Heath could get game i.e R17 and therefore Heath will remain as an emergency until such time. What a joke this is we kill off a player's confidence and reduce his fitness due to lack of game time. I still haven't got over keeping Grundy as emergency when we last played finals. Young players want to be playing the game. Good to see Taylor getting a game and it is going to be interesting who is going to make up the rest ot the bench. Jefferson ( prefer Kentfield or Heath) is also likely to be playing.

We looked flat after half time........Perhaps we should have selected 3 or 4 fresh players for the Essendon match played in Adelaide. Why not drop players , call it managed if you like. Due to an undesirable reserve fixture Casey has a bye by rd 2 (thereabouts) ,so it is hard to pick players on match form and possible fitness. Either the AFL clubs petition for a change to the VFL fixture or just except it as what it is worth(less). If we get more game time into the least popular players (fringe) the better the club is going to get. Goody and King seemingly keep the same players as emergencies i.e HEATH this year. Why does a player like Heath come to a club just to be kept as a backup or a long term emergencies?

What on Earth has our senior's match Dees v Bombers got to do with with topic on hand which is entitled CASEY: Rd 4 v Brisbane Lion Reserves? Side tracking comments often occur which have nothing to do with the subject on hand should be scrubbed off Demonland. Back on track we win by a mile or 1600 metres.

Those who say you can't drop a player or players after one bad game are not all there. We got smashed against Freo and the Bombers. We were smashed in the first half against the Blues.We have a good win against the Suns ... wouldn't have happened if their two key mids were out. Heath and Kentfield has to come for starters. Kenfield has much more upside compared to Jefferson as he can ruck and play in defence. JVR one goal in 4 weeks is very unproductive, either we try him in defence or we should drop him. At the moment we are a team that resembles swiss cheese,plenty of holes in it. Yes at our best we could knock off Brisbance , if we played like last week we will get slaughted.

Whilst on a wayward direction Why did the VF play Sanfl when there was basically very little attendance at the ground? Why does the AFL teams put up with a crappy VFL fixture , surely you would want your'e players in peak condition. In our case our fringe players get 2 weeks holidays. At even number teams should have no ongoing weekly byes. ( a mid season bye is o.k). I would make 2 divisions (conference) involving existing VFL clubs plus 2 teams from S.A. Finals to be played top 4 of the 2 divisions. AFL senior teams should reduce their list by getting rid of rookie A and B players for starters. All the reserves players( max 20) are on the payroll and can be selected for the seniors. The reserve players cannot be poached thru out the season. If the AFL cannot make the VFL a better system then we should dump the reserves. Hopefully Kalani is back this week.

We talk about bid men being soft due to lack of tackles. (subject to personal view). Compare GRUNDY 36 hit outs , 7 tackles SWANS 97 to SUNS 52 tackles. GAWN 34 hit out 2 tackles Petty 2 tackles DEES 54 to BOMBERS 45 tackles. Is it lack of tackles that make us weak or is this the style of footy we play ? OR Both. Cannot wait to see the axe falling or if you prefer the guillotine. On a note ... Hopefully King has b.lls to drop players, not to keep his favs in , like the previous coach.

It is no good saying we lack depth if you not going to give MFC listed players who are stuck in the reserves or become almost a full time emergency. King (coach) is not a miracle worker unless he makes changes to the way players play whether there are positional changes (change of role). Last year players careers were destroyed. Kynan and Sestan in paricular. I say bring on the changes, forget reputations.

JVR back is a good idea , should have been tried in the reserves last year, especially as Adams is not progressing as well as expected. Kentfield would have played senior's from the start if it was not due to an injury. Perhaps Latrelle in the reserves should be tried as a midfielder. Mathews should be given a go. Onley needs to play the ruck rover role for Casey this will increase he stamina and flexibility otherwise he will end up as surplus stock.

Perhaps our team thought it was going to be an easy kill against the Bombers. The coach should send a message to the players that there job is not safe. I would drop a minimum of 3 players per game. We have to praising the coach as he is a demi god or what ever. Our moto should be is wait and see before making early comments. Gawn once again dominated in the ruck yet we lost the plot especially after half time. We have to change the way we play , beating Kozzie usually results in our down fall. What if the purpose of having Heath an emergency week after week , basically he is robbed of match fitness and experience , I am sure he didn't come to us to become an emergency.Heath and Kentfield needs to come in. JVR , Petty ,Salem and Latrelle should could come under the microscope. Perhaps JVR will become a defender either for Casey or the Dees.

I originally thought the loss of Petracca would hurt us badly and to a minor degree Oliver would do the same. With a new game plan we have we have re invigorated and found half decent players probably at at smaller cost. Sharp, Culley, Latrelle and Tholstrup have been a breath of fresh air. Michochek and Steele have been great finds. Our crop of young players in Windsor, Lindsay and Langford are good competitors. Gawn and Pickett wow. We could do with another decent midfielder but not at a huge cost. Another Luke Jackson would be the icing on the cake. NO to Butters NO to Humphries.

If Heath was doing a great job replacing Gawn, then Gawn become available, Heath would probably get dropped. Howes is doing a good job but Rivers could probably do it a bit better, naturally you choose Riv over Howes. Having Kentfield in the team will change the dynamics as he can play forward, back and ruck. Viney will be back at the moment there is no senior position available. What we do need is to improve our defence possibility JVR can go back. For pro Jefferson fans he may get his chance soon.

Perhaps Casey should try Onley as a ruck rover. Rucking can improve your confidence and stamina.

Personally I think we will get pumped ... SUNS to win by 61 pts. Trailing by 42 pts against the BLUES does not inspire me. Seemingly teams can over run CARLTON especially at the 12min mark of the last qtr. FRITTA will be a huge loss. Gawn cannot continue to ruck all day and he doesn't kick a lot of goals.

No best 23 at this stage . Would like to see AMW in defence, Kentfield forward/ruck. As an experiment (Casey) C.J forward. Also would like to see Heath given ago , surely no one want to be a stand by ruckman.

Someone should send Carlton a couple of kilograms of Nappy San, it is known to prevent fade.

Oliver ( A.K.A Dee traitor,just joking) had 39 disposals for his losing side last night unfortunately didn't kick a goal. Teams need mids that are capable of kicking goals also Ruckman. At the moment we don't have either.

We should do extremely well, forget about last week's result. Blues to win by 20 pts.

I would interchange L.Pickett with Mathews after the Carlton matches. We need to get seniors matches into both players and by dropping one back to Casey it should improve their confidence. If both do well later in the year then we could play both of them in the seniors.
