Earlier this year, you would remember that we were keeping an eye on Joffa and his toothless followers over at a Magpie message board

They created a banner that went something like 'Season Dee-Railed', which they did not get to use becaase we smashed them for the 4th straight Queens Birthday

Well Friday night we can cause some real pain for the ferals. If we beat them, they are a real chance to fall out of the top 8 by seasons end. Nothng would be sweeter than destroying their season

So, should we pull out the 'Finals Over' banner , a la 2005?

Geez, that would cut them deep!!!!

ps. Anyone have a link to that Magpie board? Would be funny to see if they are wasting their time making another banner

that would be pretty good magic, only thing this time is that it's an away game, so we won't have the exclusive melbourne members area to spread the banner in like we did in 2005... i remember that day, with the banner being right above me, was pretty awesome...

the other thing is, if we beat them are their finals over? they still could make it as they're 6 points clear of the next closest team...

Actually they decided not to finish making it because of the connotations of the word "derailed" being in the same week as the Kerang train crash.

That is a credit to them.

Don't you think it's a little bit hypocritical to tease a side about being out of the finals when we have been out of the finals for most of the season?

Let's just beat them and enjoy Neitz's 300th.

Yeah....as much as I love beating the pies, I have to agree with the last few posts - not a lot of point teasing a team for not making the finals (they can still get there!) when we are so far away from the top 8 ourselves.

Lets just concentrate on lots of cheering for Neita and do our bit to get our boys over the line.

i saw joffa outside the ground on QB

he had a big banner with him, they had something planned, and it got thrown back at them!!!

the banner should be

Kevin Sheedy as Coach?? 500,000 a year

Revenue from Queens Birthday? 1 million $$$

Beating Collingwood twice in one year?? Priceless

Agreed - we are in no position to slag anyone off. Even the toothless Tigers beat us. Besides, Friday is not about the despised 'Pies anyway. They will take their unwashed masses & flourishing balance sheet into September & bugger it up again. Why should we bother hauling out some tired banner to state the bleeding obvious. F*%k 'em.

Besides, if I was to stuff a banner into my Gladstone bag, there'd be no room for my red & blue tartan travel rug & my thermos. Certainly couldn't conceal one beneath my tweed jacket.

If your heart beats red & blue Friday is about Neita - the other mob are just there because someone has to be.

Go Number 9 !!!!

Everyone saying it's all about Neitz is dead right, doesn't matter who we are playing against just so long as we win for Neitz.

I'd rather win on neitz 300th against the pies than get a pick 19 or whatever it is.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
