The boys are coming over in dribs and drabs. First two dribs (drabs?) were Tmac and Spaz. Biggest smiles ever! Spaz walking taller for sure. Tmac said he’s relieved the 250 is done and dusted, now on to this weekend

Idk why Tom Sparrow was walking taller; he was pretty poor on the weekend if I'm being honest. thought he really let us down in that first half

thought he was definitely one of our best on for the game, best game he's played for us through the midfield

Please don’t anyone panic if you see Kozzie has his right leg bandaged. It’s sore but it’s only a corky. He’s gonna be fine for the weekend.

According to AMW Riv likely won’t be playing this weekend. He has a knee issue and they’re looking to make sure he’s 100% before playing him again.

Disco is a Test for this week. He himself feels right to go but it will all hinge on how he goes at main training.

When he plays like that anything is possible.

Any update on Jiath?

Some of the boys have left already. They have a bike session lined up. The remaining boys will be leaving soon too. They have a running session.

He’s not here. If I get the chance I’ll try to get an update from staff. Thing is, there are not many staff members here. Taylor Whitford is the only one out there.

Thanks for that - I presume it’s a lighter session (on the body based off bikes and running and no contact) and more about endurance building?

I have noticed we seem to be quite fit this year.

Bowser and Disco, Hendo and Koz just kick-to-kick while the others play a kinda halfbaked match sim of sorts, the white bibs being the only sign of a match sim. Steeley and Petts also kick-to-kick but I think their reason is coz it’s fun. 😁

Speaking of fun, the very first thing Koz said about Sunday was “That was fun!”

Vines is out here now. In great spirits. He’s working with a physio and is doing more than in previous sessions.

Bowser said they’re expecting him to be right by round 7/8 but he’ll need some time at the VFL since he’s had no preseason. He said at the end of every single training session, he feels fitter and stronger than before.

Any update on Paddy Cross, Ghost-train?

I spoke to Cub (Taylor Whitford). Paddy has a broken thumb. Won’t be available this week of course but “won’t be out of the game for too long.” Cub also said they’re really pleased with his performance on Sunday

Did AMW say anything about his prospects of playing senior footy in the short-term?

Would love to see him back but understand he may need some minutes in the VFL first.

I would like to see AMW come in for Salem.

He wasn't wrong with respect to the first half though.

Thanks for the info GW. I have to say at half time on Sunday I had tossed in the towel.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
