I don't see it with CJ.

His most memorable moment last night was when he should've punished dead in front for HTB. We were unbelievably lucky to get away with that one.

Other than that I can't remember his presence. His ball use is poor and he seems to be lost in space way too often.

He reminds me of Sam Frost. He can get games in a lowly slide but the reality is he is warming a spot for someone else. Not a finals player.

Does he have any good qualities? Anything going for him at all?

I won't mention fashion sense and DJing.

His pace?

I distinctly remember a brilliant spoil that killed the contest from the corridor, bouncing all the way out of bounds in the back pocket.

His ball use and decision-making is Sam Frostesque, but for where we are right now, he's a very handy acquisition for our game style.

Writing him off four games into his career at the Dees aye? Nice.

I'm not super confident about CJ either but willing to see if Kings game style with his athleticism and pace are a match for a good role he can potentially carve out. But he must find some consistency to hold his place. The knock on him coming in was his kicking and decision making which is a watch for sure.

He wasn't amazing but I thought last night was his best game so far. I'd say his most memorable moment was in the first half where intercepted the ball in the middle (read it better then Bolta) and then kicked it straight in to JVR who should have kicked an easy goal. Executed it perfectly.

He had 6 score involvements last night which showed his involvement in our slingshot scoring from the backline. His disposal efficiency was at 90% so some good signs. Lets give him a chance.

AtG is right - he’s a competitor and for what we need right now before a Xavier Taylor can take his role. He’s also allowing Howes to excel by being able to pick and choose the match ups.

He fits our game style and he doesn’t kill the ball like some May have done.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
