Having flashbacks to Brett Grgic now.

Can I buy a vowel?

in this case I believe that j is the surrogate vowel

and Brent as well

The kids is exactly what we’ll need off half back. I’d say prioritise him over Robey 100%. The game is now speed and skill.

The brute force element will continue to get more phased out as an athletic more skilful orientated game style takes over.

This makes me wonder if they would be open to splitting 3. They've got big bodied Smillie and Lalor to go with Taranto and Hopper. They get their outside mid in Grlj to go with Hotton. Would it make sense for them to grab some more pieces around the park in their rebuild like a Lindsay at HBF etc

think tigers will either like cdt if eagles go duurs robey OR xavier taylor to replace broad/vlastuin and pair with gibcus and trainor long term, but i think grjl is the lock for them coz they really liked what he did when he repped them in the vfl

Are we sure this isn’t overplayed? Langford played well for Richmond vfl last year but they took Lalor at 1 and were strongly linked to Smillie. Sinnema played a nice for Casey and there’s not even any indication he’ll be even rookied by us.

A recruited might not put much stake in to a vfl coach being pleased with a young kid doing well

I think the link has been accepted because it’s come from Cal Twomey, who has stated that Richmond could have interest because of his VFL appearances (and that he could be a complimentary type for their midfield)

But there hasn’t been anything definitive yet

u might be right, and fwiw i agree re sinnema but i also think he is the best profile for them too, robey or sharp are too similar to lalor and smilie which is the other reason i do think he is in their market

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
