CASEY: RD 18 vs Sandringham

Agree D Rev he is a vg finisher and what we really need both at AFL & VFL why Mitch Hardie is so important to Casey and Chin and Kozz at AFL.

I actually think he'd be good in a better team. He's a finisher, not one to get the ball or set it up.

He played in a pretty good team at the Lions and was similar to senior games with us. Sadly he is a NQR.

Utter disgrace Jefferson was dropped.

You gotta be joking - Jefferson was terrible against the Blues - fumbled, dropped a chest mark & missed a gettable goal.

He kept dropping chest marks yesterday & his kicking was even worse 2.5 & keeps missing sitters from 30 out.

His form this year suggest a bust.

How about that mark that Mattie Jefferson took against Sandy on the weekend, if he can replicate that on a regular basis at AFL he will be worth the price of a ticket, also I don’t understand the criticism for Harry Sharp he kicked five great goals, doing what a good hff does finishes off the play up the ground. Why try to pass and increase the opportunity for a turn over when you can nail it yourself.

I think you are being a bit harsh. He's still young. There are a lot of positives about his game.

Another summer in the gym and practicing kicking and he will be a lot better

You are right I was overly harsh. I hope he makes it but he cannot be 50/50 with those gettable shots 35m out. He's got to nail them 90% of the time.

He doesn't have enough strings to his bow to succeed unless he becomes a dead eye dick.

Mitch Hardie on a rookie contract couldn’t hurt either

Bloke knows where the goals are that's for sure. He also manages to find space and mark on a lead / in space somehow. He has that natural forward craft knack that Chin & Spargo don't have.

Sharp also knows how to find the goals but so far at senior level he just doesn't get enough of it.

If he gets another season and ups the ante next year. Who knows. But will he? He's been ok in patches at AFL level but super disappointing alot of the time as well. No worse than Spargo though who keeps getting the call up after showing no serious form at senior level all season.

Of all times to have another bye, yep you guessed it the Smithys VFL Fixturing delivers in spades AGAIN

Just when the boys are hitting their straps another unwanted bye, VFL has become a bit sad.
