If the metric is "how many games do you need to win to get at least one premiership?" then we are the most efficient!

Geelong on top of that table. Well, what a coincidence. Lego have just released the latest in their AFL club range.

Those stats for MFC are the harsh reality of 2007-2017, 2019-2020 and so far in 2025. We really do have to fight our way back to relevance, we have had so little of it.

The only table that matters really at the end of the day is flags won since 2000, you can be really good H &A like Bombers 01, Port 01-03, us 22/23, Sydney 14, 24,Freo 15, Saints 09/10, Pies 11 , 19 for no return or be a team winning not many H & A but actually building but the table is

Hawks 4

Lions 4

Cats 4

Tigers 3

Swans 2

Eagles 2

Pies 2

Dee’s 1

Port 1

Dogs 1

Bombers 1

Hahahaha that is absolute GOLD

For the benefit of Essendon fans I think the table should be cut to just the last 20 years, instead of being tweaked just to include their 2000 premiership. So just looking at H&A tallies we would be;

Deleting 21 wins for year 2000, then 17, 12, 13 and 12 to through to 2004. We can restart the tally from 2005.

Making it 274 - 75 = 199, with zero premierships and zero finals wins.

From 2005 on, Essendon have only seven more H&A wins than us, despite us going through realistically the darkest period of any still-living club.

Plus, we have won six finals including a premiership.

It was obvious that the original author of the chart had skewed it to make Essendon look better, or relevant, so I just had to burn it.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
