Huh? If you're not interested in jumper numbers you wouldn't click on on a thread called Jumper Numbers. If you're not interested in best looking Demons players ever you wouldn't click on a thread called Best Looking Demons Players. If you're not interested in ChatGPT .......

I guess if 15 topics in a row mention AI I'd agree with you. But unless AI becomes amazingly good at predicting or analysing AFL I think we're pretty safe

so you're saying i needn't have bothered reading it after realising it was ai based

yeah sure, i could just skip such threads. but it just seemed an opportunity to post a warning, especially as ai programs are not very helpful on subjective issues like a footy fan forum. i've seen recently how ai has had a bad and deceptive effect on a couple of other forums i used to like.  there, they just started with just a few posts that became a torrent. and worse they were becoming harder and harder to identify.

Will be fun to check how this goes during the year. It’s based on what’s on the ‘net. It seems to have thrown up some strange positions

Predicted 2025 AFL Ladder - end of Home and Away

Fremantle Dockers - On the rise with a solid young core

Carlton Blues - Talented but inconsistent, should make finals.

Geelong Cats - Aging but still dangerous in September.

Gold Coast Suns - Improving but not quite top-eight ready.

Essendon Bombers - Mid-table, still developing.

Collingwood Magpies - Slight decline after recent success.

Adelaide Crows - Rebuilding, not finals-ready.

West Coast Eagles - Expected to finish last, still struggling.

I mean... isn't this the pre-season summary for these teams every season?

You mean you'd be reading someone's post and suddenly suspect/realise it was actually just AI? I don't want that either. As long as we're forewarned that threads are about AI or dont open threads only to find they're infested with AI responses I'm fine with it

Check out this Dimwit

Laughable

He looks like Petraccas little brother. And a jealous little brother too.

Also his bed in the back of shot! You expect his mum to come in half way through the video

"Mum, I told you not to interrupt when I'm doing my AFL preview video"

He really would get bullied at school.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
